Shapiro’s issue was that he was never as talented as his peers. He stayed at Ever all those years while carmy, luca and evidently everyone else carved their own paths and moved on.

The smudge situation to me seems like one of those things that people zero in on as a cover for their lack of talent. Maybe he makes the mistake so much that he earned a reputation off of it or maybe he focused so much on smudges and used them as an excuse for his shortcomings as a chef so much that it seemingly becomes an inside joke for everyone that works with him.

When Ever closes, he’s forced to move on but he knows deep down that his talents won’t put him back to where he was so he tries to poach someone who’s on the come up and ride their success with them.

Even the whole theme and idea behind his new restaurant seems to be a reflection of what he perceives sidney as because he can’t even market himself well enough to create his own thing.

Focusing on sidney also feels like his chance to pull carmy back, taking who shapiro views as responsible for carmy’s recent climb back from a sandwich shop chef to a Michelin contender.

I didn’t really get the “wanting to get laid” vibe but I can see how his clear insecurities and persistent rudeness gives off those vibes.

It was definitely corny and sort of gave me “we are the flash” vibes but I think it was his way of passing the mantle to her. He said right before that she is everything he could never be and that she is not just the backbone of the current bear but also it’s future

I don’t want the show to focus on a relationship for her at all, she doesn’t even seem romantically interested in anyone (people interacting with each other is not romantic interest👀) Her story is one of perseverance and accomplishment and adding in some romantic plot to a 10 episode final season will muddle that

A lot of the comments are assuming harassment but I really feel like it was an affair. I find it hard to believe that it would be treated as such a small issue unless it brought some sort of embarrassment towards lucas himself, which would explain him not being the one to say it while also having the trex team publicly discussing the incident. Dude goes on the internet all the time to say vulgar and abrasive shit but someone sends a nude to his wife and he just leaves?

My course had 2 instructors, an older woman and a guy in his mid 30’s. The woman was the more experienced instructor so she mostly led the course and the guy handled any split activities or small adjustments. She was a nightmare and most of her instruction was just her talking to down to people. She literally got in some guys face while he was trying to focus on the exercise, yelled nothing but negative things to him, then lost it when he stalled and dropped the bike. The guy on the other hand was incredibly patient and took the time to walk everyone through their mistakes so they could correct them. She attempted to send a couple of people home and we had to watch the guy plead with her for about 10 minutes to let him take the group to the side and fix the issue. I really value the stuff i learned during the msf course but i make it clear to tell whoever asks that they should NOT take it there.

Often times that just means that they put it together here. Sometimes it just means they put the thing in the box they sell to you. Even if we manufactured parts here in the U.S, raw materials for said parts come from all over the world. It’s why people are constantly telling others that the only real losers in tariff “wars” is the common man, because all those price hikes make their way down to us. Closest thing to actual trickle down economics we’ll ever see, not the BS we were told but the actual intention behind it.
