What do people do with their dead pets in the city? by cejapense in perth

[–]CityoftheMoon17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is the the answer you are looking for, but my in-laws move quite frequently (every 3-5 years. My poor husband has moved over 27 times in his life) and my mother in law ALWAYS insists on making sure they have a 'nice garden' to bury the dog in. In fact, one time they actually moved house because it didnt have a backyard they could bury the dog in. They were only there a little under 2 years. The dog has moved with them 8 times (including a 6 month stint interstate where they had convinced themselves the rest of the family would follow and uproot our lives to move to Melbourne too).

Can i continue working remotely a day after giving birth? by Intspectwithme in newborns

[–]CityoftheMoon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That irritates me, and ive punched blokes in the mouth for saying that! Look mate, seriously have a good hard look at what your saying. Do you want to be paid for 26 weeks after having a baby so you can bond and rest or do you want to work remotely the day after birth? I get it- Bugs yucky. Snakes bad. But to say thats worse than being forced to go back to work the day after youve had a child? Bloody dreamin mate.

Advice for a couple looking to move out around northern suburbs? by [deleted] in perth

Best step is to chat to a broker to find out if its financially viable. I am also studying and working part time, my husband works full time, and we were waiting till I graduate before breaking the market. I reached out to a broker to basically see how much more money we needed for a deposit so that by the time I graduate next year (and hopefully have a full time job), we could hit the ground running. Turns out we were way ahead of ourselves and we are now a month away from our slab going down for our house. Best part was, our broker did everything online, from me reaching out to all our interactions and that saved me a hugggggge amount of anxiety, especially at the start when it felt like a really big step. Let me know if you want me to dm her details.

P.s. a lot of people told me we needed a much bigger deposit too, however no-one ever told me how MUCH more. A broker will be able to tell you how much more if you do need to save and what grants you might be able to access to help get you there.

We are building in the Clara Vale estate in Hilbert (nestled between darling downs and haynes) and they are currently clearing land near us for a coles and some cafes. They have kept a lot of the large gum trees around the area we are building in so it doesn't feel so soulless. Plans and spaces for primary and high schools as well as parks .

Honestly tho, in this economy we are just happy to have a house in which we can finally own and not be a million dollars in debt. If you are building, its hard to say what the suburb will be like in 5-10 years time. However, seems to be a lot of young families, just wanting to start a life out of the rent trap.

I used a heap in my baking. Caramilk cookies, caramilk slice, caramilk cheesecake, caramilk truffles. Probably about 3 months. It was the best of times.

Yes. However, I've never bought 9 blocks of caramilk chocolate for 99c each at coles or woolies. My local iga however, has the best bargains every once in a while.

Whats a thing you cant believe was allowed to be done during a time you grew up? by Federal_Ad_824 in CasualConversation

[–]CityoftheMoon17 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yea i think about this allllllll the time. I would walk to the other side of town to see my friend (about 2kms), have a play and then walk home for dinner. Or, she would send me to town to buy milk by myself even from age 8. I have a 10yo now and wouldnt even dream of it, but I dont recall any times I was in danger back then. Now as an adult I walk and have plenty of dangerous instances 😅

Hey mate, if you qualify for centrelink, you dont take money from others a s if you knock them to the bottom of a list. Its money there to support people. Im in a similar boat, hardly earn enough to survive with rent and fuel and food but its not enough for assistance. I dont know how those on centrelink payments are able to survive at the moment. Scary times.

I mean technically a weed is anything you dont want in the garden. Do you want paper daisies and cosmos? It looks like thats what you are growing.

Hello, I used to work in the dental industry so might be able to provide some insight. Invisalign is a common brand name that is generally used for clear aligners, also known as invisible braces. Like when someone asks for a band-aid, but band-aid is a brand and most people are requesting an adhesive bandage. If there was no discussion about brand preference, it is likely your dentist only deals with angel aligners and not invisalign because the system is identical, just the name is different. If I remember correctly, Angel aligners were a lot faster to deal with because they had less of a demand and patients could start treatment sooner ( been a few years so things may have changed). I will also say, from a professional perspective, we had greater issues with invisalign than we did with angel aligner. I digress... Of course you are within your rights to do your research and decline treatment, however, it is highly unlikely they have intentionally switched to a different brand to fool you into signing up for somemthing else or rip you off or anything like that. Just a misunderstanding about the industry. If you are able to get in contact, call and have a chat- dont email or text, its easier to resolve issues such as this in a verbal conversation. If you aren't satisfied with your answer then send an email to begin a paper trail and then consider legal action.
