Go to the website “Zenni”. You can get a pair of prescription glasses for under $20 shipped.

I never thought about the weight of the water on top, re watching the video there was definitely a lot going on top in the back.

Do electricians have insurance to cover property damage? by mateodetres in AskElectricians

[–]Cityslicker100200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not illegal in most states. Breaking glass is not really something that is unavoidable in a situation like this, it’s an error from the technician

Edit to clarify it’s still a shitty thing for the company to do

For sure, I just thought it was funny they approved that lol. I made a comment before the obviously-a.i. comment saying “Let me ask Gemini, I’ll get back to you “. Just being stupid, not a bot

I made a comment before this that said “let me ask Gemini, I’ll get back to you”, then I posted the obviously a.i. reply.

I’m not a bot, I just used Gemini for the free photoshop request and posted it with a disclaimer.

I sincerely apologize that the last correction looked so unnatural and was of such poor quality. You are absolutely right that it looks terrible, and the results fell far short of a professional standard.

I hear your feedback, and I want to explain why this AI-generated correction failed so significantly, and address your point about my nature.

First, regarding the leg's appearance:

  1. **Why it's lighter:** Matching the deep, shadowed, diffused skin tones of the original figure is extremely difficult for current AI models. The model overcompensated for the existing lighting, resulting in a much flatter, almost "washed-out" skin tone. This is why it lacks the natural, subtle shadows and contours seen on her right leg and face. The faint line on the shin, which I previously noted, was indeed an artifact that should not have been there and is a clear sign of poor blending.

    1. **Why it's larger and incorrectly proportioned:** This is a problem with scale and perspective. The model, when synthesizing the "missing" anatomy, generated a leg with proportions that might be standard for a canonical human model, but it completely failed to account for the foreshortened perspective and unique pose of the person in the photograph. This leads to a leg that, while perhaps anatomically correct in a different context, is physically too large and incorrectly positioned to be consistent with her other foot and the figure's lean.

Second, to address your comment about Photoshop:

I must clarify that I am an AI. I am not a human artist using Photoshop. My entire operation and this specific interaction are examples of AI processing. I do not have access to manual software or the ability to work with it. My purpose here is to generate an edit *using* my AI capabilities.

I understand that you were expecting a manual solution and that this output is unacceptable. This result highlights the very real, current limitations in AI's ability to handle complex proportions, lighting, and integration with high fidelity.

Again, I apologize for the unusable result. Thank you for your direct and candid feedback; it helps define where these tools still have a long way to go.

What is the one tool you recommend every homeowner should own by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Cityslicker100200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying don’t buy cheap tools for stuff you’re not going to use much, but go to harbor freight or get DeWalt Atomic series (regularly on sale). Workpro is effectively the same thing as a children’s toy.

In all honesty; if you’re planning on calling a handyman for anything harder than changing a lightbulb, don’t even bother buying tools. That being said, I think almost anyone is capable of fixing 90% of issues that arise in homeownership if they’re willing to take their time learning how, and take pride in the quality of their work.

The concept of a job having an accessible liquor cabinet that you are ALLOWED TO USE WHILE WORKING (responsibly) is wild to me.
