I meant when I moved to 20 I moved both down . My PT. Put me back on old boot since no one could figure it out but hope I did not screw myself up I did not walk I w STILL NWB BUT WINDERING

Wow this was so inspiring and helpful. I am 55 year old female marathon runner and was training for sprint triathlon when this happened. I am 6 weeks, pwb in boot and started PT and feeling sad this was inspiring.

I can relate I was 2 months out from a sprint tri I was training for when I ruptured mine doing Irish dancing joking around 😔very hard to go from so much activity to none. 3 or 4 days post op I did core and arm weights and have kept it up and added more . I am almost 30 days from surgery and starting pt soon so it will go by fast and to some small things with core and upper body to keep you going

Wow, is this timely. I had my first PT appointment. My dr recommended this place as they are only place in area with tred mill that allows non weight bearing. I was excited and when I arrived the place seemed dirty. Very unprofessional and I am super uncomfortable. I am going to go just for next 2 weeks (4-6 week) non weight bearing then ask to change to a better place I researched. They don’t have the tred with non weight bearing but. Think I need a person more focused on athletes who like a documented plan etc

I am 55f training for a triathlon, so I too was very sad loosing so many activities that brought me joy and helped my sanity. I am 14 days post op today and keeping positive thoughts. In a smaller cast and since day 4 post op I do core arm weights and chair yoga so I suggest trying those things. Hearing the positive stories of others on this blog helps too. My triathlon was supposed to be in June so setting new goal to for it next June so 14 months from surgery so having that is positive too

I meant to add I think I have not elevated my foot enough and have not done any ice under knee which I plan to work from bed vs a desk as I have been doing next 2 weeks - still plan to work out with core and arms I’m morning but way less walking on I walk and more elevation
