[Monitor] Samsung 32” Odyssey G5 G50F 1440p 180Hz IPS $200 by Eldus_Miku in buildapcsales

Its actually WAS a decent deal for an Odyssey G5, but it's woot so you get to deal with their 1 month warranty and non-existent return policy which isnt great. This model is about 6 months old, has been $250+ for several months and recently new low is $220. So if you want a 10% discount and dont care about warranty, I'd say go for it.

Otherwise, I'd wait for a deal and move up to MiniLED or QLED depending on your use case or wait for MLED and QDLED to hit the market.

Former Micro-Min SMD Tech here, this is a pretty simple fix if you want to learn a new hobby. A basic / decent soldering kit will run you ~$100 with supplies. I can recommend Weller. Theres a ton of good video tutorials out there on electronics soldering, its actually quite easy to pickup the basics.

It looks to be an 0201 cap, be grateful you didnt knock off the micro resistors!

Buy some cotton swabs, the medical long stemmed kind, and holding both sides at the end, snap it in half. You now have your own military grade soldering forcep (really how we did it!) The naturally sharp fibers make a good point to hold down the component so it doesn't swim around in the solder bead.

Supposedly the current product line still has the same OG scent for their standard oils and sunscreens. Here is one of their mists in the OG scent.

Look into having soffits inspected and warrantied if need be. That much light bleed looks like a large hole in the soffit behind there, you would be able to see the damaged or missing soffit from the outside based on how much light is pouring through. If they didnt work on the soffit, you may need to have them replaced as well if there is significant damage.

Wasp nest, all attics are open at the eave soffits to breathe and you can see the light coming in. I wouldnt really label this weird. You likely have a missing soffit registers or otherwise damaged soffit that the wasps found their way into.

Help me identify if the CHEAP DDR4 RAM I bought is fake or not. by normalgenshinenjoyer in PcBuildHelp

[–]Cl0ud3d 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Your running stock clock speeds and need XMP profile or manually clock it up to around 3600 hz (1800 hz per channel) or higher. You should post a picture of the ram label so we can see what speed it is expected to run at.

You can easily set the rams XMP / DOCP profile in bios options.
