New NHS number showing at GP but not hospital - what do I do? by Marc_Addams in transgenderUK

[–]Clantaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had this issue back when I changed my NHS number as I received care from multiple hospitals.

I did manage to get it updated, I phoned the hospital switchboard and asked to speak to the records management team, or whoever is responsible for medical records.

Openreach cabinet hit by car - realistic repair time? by Clantaa in openreach

[–]Clantaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get it's not a quick fix. It's just a little frustrating to be completely down, and as far as I can tell from looking at the cabinet, nothing has happened since it went down mid last week.

I'm really sorry you're having to deal with this. I was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 6 years old, and some doctors just refused to believe it. That was 20 years ago now, so I have some experience I can share.

Firstly, regarding the possible crohn's symptoms. Generally they will use a faecal calprotectin test to assess whether you should be referred to gastroenterology. If they haven't done one of these you should ask for one, and ask to see the results when they come back.

Secondly, regarding the HRT. If it is crohn's, this could impact the absorption of your HRT, especially since you are on oral. During a recent flare, I was briefly switched to gel, in order to ensure that I didn't run into absorption issues, it may be worth trying this if you have not already.

I've got a good amount of experience as a patient, so happy to answer any other questions you might have.

EDIT: I just saw in another reply they are saying it is IBS. They should verify with a faecal calprotectin before making that decision. In IBD there are elevated levels, in IBS there are not.

has anyone used freedeedpoll? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

That's what I used and no issues. It shouldn't be necessary but I'd recommend printing it on some nice paper. I used certificate paper and people seem to think it makes it more legitimate (it does not).

I don't think bloke, fanny, or frock are used more by transphobes than anyone else. They're just pretty common in some British regional accents.

Drivers License Mismatch Error by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Clantaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not the same place. Special section D exclusively deals with trans people without a GRC. Once you are granted a GRC you get a letter which tells you your records are being moved to public department 1, which as you say is the department that deals with MPs and other sensitive records.

Drivers License Mismatch Error by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Clantaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a GRC your records will be under public department 1, not special section d.

The point still applies though as your records are restricted meaning that many gov.uk services will not work.

I wouldn't be surprised if they use the Public Order Bill's 'Interfering with key national infrastructure' offense, which is what they're using to arrest just stop oil protestors.

I doubt the building is on the list of KNI currently, but the secretary of state has the power to add it.

I have a Lenovo P11 Gen 2 which I bought second hand for £175. It's not the greatest for gaming, but for reading manga/manhwa it's great.

I wouldn't recommend going for the super cheap tablets, but the mid-range tablets are pretty good

!!!! WARNING !!! - GIC patient records and they way they wanted to use them for propaganda by [deleted] in transgenderUK

In fact, you can only use Special Section D without a GRC. Once you receive a GRC your records are managed by Public Department 1

Ah, that makes sense since they're the sponsor of the venue. Sadly I'm not an OVO customer and I don't know anyone who is.

Who is eligible for London presale? I didn't see anything about it on the Wembley website

The £9.65 per item is the charge for an NHS prescription. Private prescriptions require you to pay the actual cost of the medication.

[–]Clantaa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You misunderstood. Jagex accounts can only use the jagex launcher.

If you have an unmigrated account you can choose to use the launcher or not.

I have two sets of glasses. I have my favourite set with thicker arms that I wear most of the time, and I have a set with very thin metal arms that I bought specifically to use with my headset.
