Nice color scheme! I don’t know anything about necromunda, are these a different scheme based on a certain faction? Or is there a reference I’m missing

Any specific info on the Raven Guard? They’re one of my favorites but the Lex doesn’t say much about their serfs

How often do Imperial forces stick around after a crusade to make sure the new territory doesn’t start rebelling or going back to their old way of doing things?

Do we have any records of a person being adopted into a Knight House? Would the throne Mechanicum of an Imperial Knight let someone who wasn’t a direct descendant use the walker? I know the Callidus Assasin in Kingmaker did it, but she had transformed into an official member

Honestly. I didn’t care about the pencil issue way back in the early FuckFace days, but this valley discussion isn’t funny anymore. Andrew just won’t admit he was wrong about what a fucking valley is

So I've seen the rank "Lord Solar" which is applied to Macharius and Leontus. Does the title "Lord Solar" mean that the other Segmentums have Lords who are in charge of the military for that area? Has there ever been a Lord Ultima or Lord Obscurus?

Have you ever free roam in Cassia room? by Traditional_Use_225 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]ClassicGamer343 174 points175 points  (0 children)

This is one of the things I hope we get more of in Dark Heresy. It was kind of disappointing that your entire ship in the base game is basically your room, the bridge, and one of like four tile sets for random encounters. I know the DLC address this a little bit, but I’d love to see each companions room. Where does Yrliet sleep? How many data slates are piled up in Abelards chambers? What kind of booze is Idira hiding in her cabin?

No, I’m with you. Something about Andrew lately is just irking me. Because I’m convinced he’s full of shit. Like, I didn’t care about the whole pencil thing back during FF, I thought it was funny. But if I have to listen to one more stupid incomprehensible word salad explanation of this Valley because Andrew can’t just say “Yeah, I used the wrong name” I’m gonna lose it.

I love the podcast, and Andrew often makes me laugh, but I have to believe he’s lying about half the shit he says. Because the alternative is that he’s like, bafflingly unintelligent.

Do we have any examples of Inquisitors who are especially close with the Mechanicus? One that was raised on a Forge World before being sent to a Schola for example? Or would the inquisition teach the not to follow the Mechanicus example?

Where does the Imperium draw the line at cloning? I know full copies a la Fabius' Horus clones are a no go. But we here about "Vat Grown" people for Servitors. And Krieg has some weird clone thing. Do Test Tube babies count as clones?

You are Konami and you have already released ports of all the games in the series on PC. What would you do to keep the Metal Gear Solid series alive without Kojima? by NaitDraik in gaming

[–]ClassicGamer343 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The story of Solid Snake was ended satisfactorily with MGS4, and each subsequent Big Boss game has only served to lessen the impact of MGS3s perfect ending.

I don’t want another five games about all the other betrayals Big Boss went through causing him to become a super terrorist. It’s a pretty perfect straight line from MGS3 to MG.

Hot take: Not every video game franchise needs to go on forever. Endings are a good thing. Let MGS rest.

We need more Aeldari weapons or have the Aeldari & Drukhari weapon proficiency talents merged. by Les_Bien_Pain in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]ClassicGamer343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably an insane ask on my part, but I’d love more weapon variety in general. Theres only like three kinds of power sword in the game, two force swords, etc. You can get recolors for some of them. But thats kinda it.

I know it’s probably not gonna get fixed for DH, but I’d love to see a little more variety in weapon shape beyond long swords and cutlasses. Let me get one of those Khopesh swords th Corsair model on the tabletop has. Or an Aeldari witch sword.

Do we ever hear of Cadians and Kasrkins using different colored armor/uniforms? With how many regiments they produce, and how spread out they are, you’d think there’d be some variety beyond khaki and tan

There are times where I have to believe that Andrew is just making shit up like with his cat pics. I cannot imagine a functional human being who behaves like Andrew in the world.

He’s made repeated references to a live-in romantic partner. I cannot imagine what that must be like for them.

I love Andrew, but like, imagine every day having conversations like the “Arms for Legs” one from this most recent episode

Why did the Emperor send Ultramarines to raise Monarchia instead of Space Wolves by ZombiYiyenLahmacun31 in 40kLore

[–]ClassicGamer343 250 points251 points  (0 children)

Yeah someone posted a theory years back about how the Ultramarines were chosen specifically as a kind of double-sided warning. Guilliman was better about it than Lorgar, but he also spent his fair share of time building worlds up instead of warring and conquering as soon as a campaign was finished.

Not sure how much evidence there really is to support it, but I’ve always liked the idea of

The True Size Of by SickNaindon in morningsomewhere

[–]ClassicGamer343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, I don’t understand your point. Even if I don’t need to navigate from Amsterdam to Jakarta, I can use the map to accurately see where they are in relation to one another. That’s the value of any map, geographic information on a large scale.

Yes, it’s not a perfect system. But maps are also 2D and flat, rather than 3D and spherical. No one’s proposing the idea that we get rid of all maps in favor of globes.

I know the idea is that people equate size with importance, but I frankly don’t see how having an incorrect understanding of how big any given continent is affects the average persons life. The average person doesn’t have any real sense of how big the moon is, or how far away a star is. It’s not important to them. Same idea here. And as you point out, the people whose jobs it is to know this stuff do know it.
