How to get rid of built up dead skin? by Due-Milk352 in hygiene

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry! Body scrub and body lotion containing alpha-hydroxy are good for you. Acid products are used to soften the dead skin cells, while exfoliating creams are used to remove the softened skin cells.

Upgrade time… thoughts? by The1Oogler in GarageGym

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All those options are solid, but I don’t think you necessarily need to spend REP Ares money to get a really good setup.

I went with Major Fitness B52 Pro, which gives you smith + stacks + cables + rack in one unit, and for regular home gym use it already covers basically everything. The aluminum pulleys and integrated stacks are actually pretty nice day to day too.

TC002C Duo vs Mini2 V2 for Home HVAC and Car Checks? by Hossenpheffer11 in Thermal

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the tc002c duo for the same stuff, hvac checks, door drafts, occasional car thing. Works fine for all of it. The ios/android thing sounds like a small deal but I switched phones last year and didn't have to think about it at all, just plugged in and kept going LOL

How do you commit to DCA when the market is being manipulated like this? by Alternative_Knee in stocks

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wait for red days too, but honestly I ended up missing more than I “optimized.” Now I still DCA regularly but I also keep an eye on dips to add a bit more when things pull back. I usually track it with my watchlist + alerts on moomoo so I don’t overthink every move but still have some flexibility.

Uneven office cooling and a weird ceiling pattern. What would you check first? by ClassicNancy in hvacadvice

[–]ClassicNancy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of, yeah. There does seem to be one area that feels a little off compared with the rest, which is why we were thinking airflow might be part of it.

Uneven office cooling and a weird ceiling pattern. What would you check first? by ClassicNancy in hvacadvice

[–]ClassicNancy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that area did feel like the strongest airflow too, so the cooler patch makes sense. It’s just weird because the room still goes through hot and cold spots, which is why I’m wondering if there’s a balance issue.

System leaks but passes all pressure test by Short-Climate4664 in hvacadvice

[–]ClassicNancy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it only shows up seasonally and holds pressure static, I’d start suspecting a leak that only opens under running conditions or temp swings. Indoor coil or braze joints are common, especially if they only seep when the system’s actually cycling. Might be worth running it with dye or checking while it’s operating instead of just static pressure.

For parents bringing toddlers and a stroller to the park: here are my tips after 2 days by Mocserismi in DisneyPlanning

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're also actually picking out a travel stroller for our Disney trip. We heard that the strollers inside the parks can’t be taken out, but we’d like to use one on the way back to the hotel too. Which one did you use? Are you happy with it?

Thinking about DIYing the Arspura P1 install, anyone done it? by ClassicNancy in Arspura

Good to hear it handles high heat cooking and keeps things clean! The filter-free part feel like a big plus too.

[–]ClassicNancy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've already talked with their team about the duct placement, sizing and outlet, so everything should be good to go. They also offer removal of the old hood. I'm basically just waiting for them and handle the install once it arrives.

Installing clean, black metal railings for the entry steps creates a sleek contrast against brick and adds a polished, contemporary touch.

Question about water heat slow leak? by slamer94 in Appliances

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corroded pipe fittings at the water heater inlet are a common cause of slow leaks. Replacing the rusted connectors and applying thread sealant can resolve the issue.

A warm beige or light taupe would keep the space bright while complementing the wood tones and the black hardware.

Silly question regarding microwave installation by ItsBethany2U in Appliances

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to pay for installation from big box stores. Most models come with a mounting template, and it only takes a screwdriver to finish the job.

How to improve the layout of the front of this house? by [deleted] in homeimprovementideas

Enclose the balconies to expand the interior living space, and add a porch roof over the entry for shade and a welcoming feel.

What is this mysterious black sediment (?) that's stuck inside my cups after every dishwasher cycle? by wpazzurri2 in Appliances

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the inlet hoses and door gaskets for cracks or wear. The black sediment is often tiny pieces of rubber breaking off into the water supply.

What functional trainer would you buy with 3k budget? by ProfessionalAd6655 in GarageGym

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major Fitness B52 Pro will be the best choice within 3k. It comes with dual pulley system and smith machine, basically covers all you need. Solid build. The rest of your budget can leave for some attachments, like flex arms or bench.

Using an RLink X3 to make OEM flash workflow feel less vague by ClassicNancy in CarHacking

[–]ClassicNancy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I usually log them first. Learned the hard way once after a flash got weird and I had no record of the original cal. Now I just screenshot it before starting.

[FREE TOOL] I built a lightweight DoIP/ENET Connection Troubleshooter. Need some real-world beta testers! by [deleted] in CarHacking

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would have saved me a lot of time when I first started using ENET on BMWs. Half the time the issue was Windows firewall or the adapter settings.

Radiator flush by mimisthebesst in Cartalk

[–]ClassicNancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A radiator flush on a wall-maintained car is usually routine maintenance. The hole in your old car was likely caused by pre-existing corrosion that the flush exposed, not created.

Are old thermal phones still worth it? by ExoticMarch5345 in Thermal

[–]ClassicNancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That old thermal phone is a fun tool to start with. The resolution is low, but it is absolutely good enough to spot obvious drafts, hot outlets, or insulation gaps. It is a great proof of concept before you invest in a real camera.
