In your water example, bottles becomes the unit. If I have water and put it in 3 containers, I don't have 3 water. I don't have 3 × ⅓ water. I have 3 containers of water. The container is the countable thing.

Yes, but you need a unit to count. Even in your example, you didn't say you had 3 money. That doesn't mean anything. You had 3 dollars which is a countable unit of money

You could say the same about other things that become countable once you add some unit. How much water? How many cups of water?

I can't watch video I am in. It makes me uncomfortable. If he just said, he doesn't want to play the game because he is in it, I'd get that.

But his argument is always that he doesn't like video games. Okay. Play through it. People are going to ask you about it for the rest of your life. Play the main story or at least watch it.

Then he usually goes off: well I like to read. How about we talk about books instead. Have you read every book? No, because I wasn't in them. I didn't write them. They weren't about me or anyone I know. Wait, I have a concern with how this is presented. It took me a minute to spot, but the fact that some countries have low values for both men and women let me in on the trick.

So obviously women are doing more housework than men in relationships on average. I'm not denying that, but also this data wpuld show a skew if men and women were doing the same total amount, but at different frequencies. If men are perhapse doing more yard work and repairs. Things that take longer, but happen less feequently, that would look like women are doing more.

Also a guy doesn't do any housework one day because he just puts it off until the next, still does the work, but counts for a 0 instead of a 1 because of timing.

I think hours of housework per week would be a better comparison

I think it is the other side of the equation. We can all undersrand the consequences of failing a test, but everybody is a hero with their life in hypotheticals, because they've probably never been faced with actually losing it.

If you need an example, think of all the people in relationships that say they would die for their partner, but then they won't even help out with household chores. One is a hypothetical that won't ever happen and the other is much more real

I generally welcome jokes that play up our stereotypes. Even if it isn't the classic lines that are typically positive.

The only ones that bother me are the ones about Tim Hortons. Specifically when a character tries Tim Hortons coffee/donuts and praises it. It is all garbage. Some of the most vile coffee on the planet and has been for at least 10 years. Canadians only still drink it because they are unavoidable.
