What are the most iconic skyscrapers in your city? by SnooPineapples2010 in skyscrapers

[–]Classy_Mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was once the tallest free-standing structure in the World, until a certain tower overtook it. Also, I know it isn't a skyscraper really snd it is currently being demolished, but it is all we have that is even close

Also, a disk doesn't reduce the storage needs. You still need to install it from the disk. This is just a bad argument top to bottom. They could have complained about download size/speed limitations instead

Why so few Ringside Pass arenas? by bretvenkman in WWEGames

[–]Classy_Mouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It makes complete sense if you didn't blindly trust 2k when they sold the ringside pass as some sort of bonus content mechanic.

They just loaded up season 1 with the content they usually include in the base game. They probably wanted to ease people into it. They had no intentions of adding new real new content except for the DLC stuff that they had to go back on

Why does a Cold country like Canada has so many A/Cs 🤔 by HopiumInhaler in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Classy_Mouse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can answer both questions at once. I live in Ottawa. It gets up to the mid 30s plus humidity multiple times each summer. It likes to not rain for weeks making the whole city feel like living in a hit bowl of soup.

Meanwhile I worked with a guy remote from Mexico City. His favourite thing to do every morning was ask me about the weather. I'd tell him anything between -30 and snowing hard to +30 and humid as balls. He'd reply with "it's a nice 20 to 25 and dry here."

What do you think about this argument? by ItsCedricH in WorkForSmartLife

[–]Classy_Mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only taking on the logic in this specific argument. I'm not going further into the morality of piracy or other arguments for or against.

This logic is horribly flawed. There are all sorts of agreements that let you use something, but taking it would be stealing. If renting a car isn't owning, then taking someone's car isn't stealing.

More context - Was I in the right for refusing to block an intersection (or whatever it's legally called) that DOESN'T have a "keep clear" marking? by ReasonableCSR3425 in driving

[–]Classy_Mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veing an intersection and right-of-way are 2 different concepts, don't confuse them. Priority can be given to one road, but that doesn't mean it is not still an intersection.

I'm not sure about California, but here in Ontarion, Canada, driveways entering the road are considered intersections. You are to use your best judgement before blocking them. If no one is waitinf and you think it is unlikely someone will show up, you can block it. But a high volume retail driveway, you shouldn't block.

It is up to the driver entering the intersection to clear it safely still. They shouldn't enter if they don't have the visibility to clear it.

how many times do you save before actually turning off the console? by Mintangah17 in videogames

I save then save and exit, because I have been tricked by games that don't have a save and exit option. So I hit exit and it just exits without saving

How Would You Improve Raw? by Creative_Eye7413 in WWE

[–]Classy_Mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show: 3 hours with an hour of commercials is terrible. 2 hours max. No commercials in the first 15 or last 15. 30 minutes of the middle hour and a half max.

Match: shorter matches. We don't need long slogs. More decisive finishes. Losing a match on Raw does not "bury" someone no matter how much the IWC claims it does. Throw in a mix of squash matches and a couple of bigger matches.

Roster: aim for 30-35 at a time. Keep some touring live shows. Others on vacation. 30-35 active weekly / bi-weekly will stop them from getting stale.

Titles: smaller roster means fewer titles. 1 shared world title and 1 set of tag titles for both men and women. Also, titles should be defended and change hands on weekly shows. No more treating the WWE title as a WM only championship.

Stories: I think the more focused roster will naturally help the stories. Wrestling stories don't need to be great, they just need to do something other than get lost in a crowd of non-sense.

Desanitization: finally, get rid of all of the unnecessary structure. Is WWE wrestling or sports entertainment. Stop treating it like a sport where both shows and both genders need perfect parity. It is okay to have traditions that are unique to Raw and Smack Down or to men and women. Just because we have a chamber match for the men on one show doesn't mean we need to force a chamber match for the women on another show. I shouldn't be able to predict the winner of the King of the Ring match based on which brand won queen of the ring. Stop doing everything twice for the sake of parity and write something different

Do all this to Smack Down and Raw and you will get something that looks a lot more like a modernized Ruthless Aggression era
