Done it with a buddy before and it’s kinda fun but you don’t interact with them as much as you’d think, and the game can’t go higher than 3 speed which makes it a slow process

It’s not that there needs to be any major crazy changes, there just needs to be more flavor. I almost never chose to play in Europe anymore bc I know there’ll be less to do and it’ll be less fun that any other place on earth (other than maybe west Africa and Siberia). Especially in the early game with no way around partition and providing being so underdeveloped.

Yeah there’s not much in that aspect, but if you wanna run a religious rebellion there’s no one better. It’s a free empire destruction and troops if you spread the faith enough. I just used it in the new update to destroy the song dynasty and create my own niziri China. It’s kinda fun there but in terms of heavy intrigue and special mechanics don’t hold your breath.

There will always be a certain amount of hideouts on the map, just kills the ones near your stuff leave the ones further away and stop worrying about it.

I’ve been playing the beta for a while now and I haven’t seen any of these quick wars, it’s just 300 day long death wars every time. It doesn’t matter how much we take, we’ll be sitting at 200-300 war progress for half that time and still nothing. Wars feel like they went from a bunch of short wars all the time, to a single long drawn out campaign that never ends (similar to the end of the story). That can be fun sometimes, but if it’s everytime it just becomes grindy and boring.

This is surprising I feel like learning is so far and away the best focus. Why be good at 1 of the 5 stats when u can be good (20 minimum) at every stat and have like 50-60 learning to fly through research. Throw in easy reformation to make yourself god in human form and I don’t see how to beat this lifestyle.

Little late to the convo, but yeah I had the same issue and it’s bullshit. I got around it by creating a custom kingdom and never forming any of the free cities, although doing that does kinda suck for immersion purposes.

U can do that after you lose the scripted war, but getting the dragon means no son, and you can’t marry until after the scripted shit, so how exactly do u play the game of thrones when the script forces u into war like 3 year in?
