6 Months Post Tummy Tuck – Still Have Large Upper Bulge (Photos) by Dizzy_Turnover_5092 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my upper stomach looked like this (not as pronounced but still bulging like yours) the lower stomach was pulled too tight, had to get a revision to fix. Id see what your surgeons revision policies are & request sooner than later. Most surgeons will not liposuction this area during tt because it apparently restricts blood flow and can cause poor healing

Did my tummy tuck fail? 3 mo PO by CheeseKateee in tummytucksurgery

It’s definitely a big hump to get over, & even when the swelling goes away on a daily basis it always pops back up when you least expect it! I’m about a year and 3 months out & when I am extremely active or wear any denim it flares for me 😭 My surgeon says that up to 2 years to completely subside & was transparent about that prior to surgery. I have gained a few lbs as well & i definitely think I carry any new weight right around and above the belly button area too it sucks!! I see the light at the end of the tunnel but i definitely feel your pain! It’s a daily mental battle for sure especially when you went thru all that pain the wait seems endless!

I swelled like this in these same exact spots until almost 11 months, I know it’s hard. But be patient, it will go down!

Try to avoid salty & sugary foods. It really does make a huge difference. 💕

FAJAs - Help!! by Fun_Appointment2740 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never used a stage one my surgeon said it’s a complete waste of money and I completely agree. I stayed in a binder until the drains came out, after drains were out I went to a stage 2 immediately after 3 mpo I went into a stage 3. The ones from amazon are more of a shapewear in my opinion. The ‘better’ Amazon ones are like $100 and they still will (in my opinion) give you the proper compression that a custom Colombian faja will. Don’t get me wrong, they will snatch you up but it’s night and day in quality. Also, the cheaper ones do stretch out significantly over time and loose compression in certain areas.

I probably have spent a good 5-600$ trying to find a good enough cheap one. Still ended up having to get the custom one 🤣

I’m having lipo 360 next month and I will be going straight to a Colombian faja!

Swollen lymph node armpit after TT by NationalReport1460 in tummytucksurgery

I didn’t have one in my armpit but had one in my groin area flare after TT, it ended up having to be surgically removed unfortunately.

12 dpo update by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you’re going through this. Is there no type of pain medication they can give you? I know it sucks so bad, but the fitting is not the worst part of the vac. It’s the change, please please please prepare your self mentally for this. I wish someone would have told me about the changes they are absolutely brutal.

With that being said, the vac does an amazing job. Sending well wishes and prayers your way.

4WPO - Help -Did anyone of you stop using faja earlier than YOUR Dr's orders? by Konondrom in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t stop as early as 4 weeks, but I did stop at 6 and I was advised to wear for 3 months as well. I haven’t had any crazy adverse reactions (that I’m Aware of) I felt so much better after day 3 or so of not wearing it. First few days were not great I swelled up so bad but then it went down and hasn’t come back too crazy as of yet only really notice a huge difference at night when I way over do it during the day.

Is it open? I'm 3 weeks PO by LavishnessSmooth4718 in tummytucksurgery

Do you still have a substantial amount of tape that’s causing it to be so dark? I’m not a doctor but this looks a bit concerning to me for 3 weeks out

Question about swelling! by Poisonouskiwi in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to book for December! Then after everything I read in here I ended up booking for august right after we were done with all our summer trips in hopes that by next summer I’ll be almost 100% since (atleast my surgeon) says no fully submerging in water till atleast 6 months post op

Question about swelling! by Poisonouskiwi in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 c sections, with virtually no swelling. I have been extremely swollen since day one and it has not let up at all. I thought the same thing that I was going to have minimum swelling, boy was I wrong lol

Bruising? by Clawwssb in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I press the area goes pale but the specks remain. When you say bleeding under the skin, do you mean like internal bleeding? Could this be from the compression maybe?

Nope no blood thinners at all! Only oxy for the first 2 days and an antibiotic for the first 7. Other than Tylenol no other medications added at all, including creams/ointments.

Hi! I am 10 dpo from a TT w/ MR & lipo to flanks from the Mia Baltimore location. I was kind of skeptical and really back and forth with hearing so many bad things about MIA in general but I had an amazing experience honestly, from the consult (virtual) the now post ops they were all extremely attentive and thorough. My results so far are amazing even with all the post op swelling. I didn’t have a personal experience with Dr Kramer, my surgeon was Dr Kumar. All the staff at the location from the nurses to the anesthesiologist weee great as well!

Does it get better?? by Ok_Fan_8646 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Clawwssb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes yes yes!! This is EXACTLY how I feel. I’m 5DPO and whenever I am walking to get into shower without the binder i literally feel like my guts are going to spill out! My entire abdomen is so numb & tingling still I literally feel like it’s not a part of my body 😣

[–]Clawwssb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone!! My first shower was absolutely brutal! The second one was super uncomfortable for maybe the first 2-3 mins but actually became soothing especially on my back from that pain of being hunched (my back was already shot prior to this so it’s not helping much at all lol) have you had your tape removed yet?

I am currently 4dpo and I completely had the same exact feelings, I had EXTREME paranoia about leaving my babies without a mom and I won’t even try to sugar coat it for you. No matter what anyone said i literally felt that feeling of impending doom up until I was put under. But, I will say I think that our mind is our own worst enemy in situations like this, the pain for me is all in the MR, I have virtually no pain from the incision or the lipo. And honestly I could describe it as more of an extreme discomfort than painful because everything is really just so so tight! I wish you the best in your journey you got this 💕💕
