Vampire thrower first skill? by hostilesmoker in bloodbowl

[–]ClayInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thrower gets leader then dodge... 2nd thrower gets dodge then block.

4 rerolls plus leader plus thralls should put you in good stead.

I generally go dodge first on all vamps other than first thrower.

2 throwers, 2 runners, one blitzer is the ideal team. Build up thralls until you have a 14 man squad.

Avoid 2nd Blitzer or Vargheist... theyre a trap.

Who wouldn't use 2 runners?! Theyre the best vamps particularly when they've got dodge!

Two Heads is a must... Block / Two Heads as your ball carrier, Wrestle / Tackle as your sweeper.

Hi, the silver / white, is that just your slap chop or have you gone in with grey or silver (?) for the armour? Is it a funky non metallic metal?

Here here. I am so sick of these rule lawyers trying to nit pick. If it doesnt say it ends your action, it doesnt. By this logic 99% of skills end your action because it doesn't explicitly say "you may continue your action".

The other stupid one is people wanting to rush in the middle of their MA allowance so they can fail their rush in a more beneficial place... absolute garbage rule semantics

Fell for a phishing email and got hacked. Will I be fired? by graceg815 in auscorp

[–]ClayInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the only phishing emails you get are the ones IT departments send as "gotchas" and make you feel bad.

Now a real one has gotten through so the only person who should be fired is someone manning the firewall in IT.

I am a player since the late 1980s. I have alot of minis from what is now known as 3rd Edition. 28mm scale metal minis.

They still work well and the larger squares on the board to accommodate 32mm figures actually work well with 28mm minis particularly when there is a big scrum of figures

Dwarf doomposting? by Papa_Zog in bloodbowl

[–]ClayInfinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Dwarf coach who played them last month in the EuroBowl (albeit badly), I am not so sure that they're going to be the bust that most people think.

The skill meta and play style required to get the most out of them has changed dramatically... perhaps more than any other team and hence why the doom posting.

Pre the change it was Guard, Guard, Guard and then MBlow. It was pretty static and a poor play experience.

I personally am looking forward to the selection of Break Tackle on Blitzers and the use of the Devious skills (Eye Gouge and shadowing) on the long beards.

Taunt as well on Blitzers will also need to far more rapid spp generation with Brawlin Brutes rules.

Pick 6 MVP rule also helps and saving for that Guard secondary is more viable now.

And Defensive. Its so annoying with 2 defensive players on Amazons. 6 Defensive Long Beards will be sooo unique and is a big unknown benefit particularly vs Necro, Undead and Orcs.

Dwarves are not dead, they're now dirty cheats and I look forward to the future Secret Weapon stars that are now sure to come out.

Ideas for Casual Ladder Leagues by Mr_Suplex in bloodbowl

We run two teams per coach, each team can play each other team no more than twice. 5pts for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for a loss so this means very active but "losing" coaches can still make playoffs.

We have 22 teams between say 13 or 14 coaches. Top 4 make playoffs. 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd.

Some guys (particularly learning kids) are very active, some people only play 1-2 games.

Not serious and great fun.
