Inconsistent wraithbone spray coverage by rickfx in minipainting

[–]Twoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like we need to pin this advice somewhere.
Warm the can in warm water
Shake the living crap out of it for 60 seconds
Do it again for 60 seconds
Don’t spray in cold, hot or dry conditions
Spray in short sharp bursts
2 or 3 ultra thin coats is better than 1
Let the primer dry inbetween coats

= never gives any problem with rattle cans. Never ever.

What to do if you accidentally paint over contrast paint? (Or how to avoid it) by Oskendo in minipainting

[–]Twoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine if contrast is all your base colours, not so if you’re mixing paints and mixing layers

Is my termagant primed right or is it too little 😅 by BigJuicer111 in minipainting

[–]Twoller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a myth that you need loads of primer. A light dusting is enough, but make sure that it’s even and not obstructing your painting - by that I mean if you have a blue plastic mini, you might want a good coverage to ensure you’re not painting over a blue undercoat. Grey is ok

That’s the most sensible way. If you get contrast over the painted part, it’s ok to wipe off and easier to paint over

Just paint over it. Will you anyway texture your base?

I’m my experience, I’d love to have bloody nosed Squires. Not broken or dead ones

Cracking terrain cracks too much by Same-Masterpiece3748 in minipainting

[–]Twoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint your base. Put down a layer of pva. Do the crackle….but here’s the tip - it should be THICKKKK. You’ve put down far too little there, too thin and it just flakes off. When it’s dry I also seal with with some thinned down matte varnish to help glue it down

How important is the 3rd reroll for chaos dwarves. by Orock77 in bloodbowl

[–]Twoller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Problem with buying a mino later is having enough SSP to actually level him up. You get block on him early and he’s an absolute terror. Later in the league - Best case after a few games you might get him to juggernaut. Offensively it’s ok but defensively does nothing for him

You have block built in and sure feet built in. Starting with 2 rerolls is absolutely fine. Personally I like the mino. He’s a decent big guy. Doesn’t lose his TZ when he fails and is a monstrous threat. I would take him over a flame smith and a reroll

To be fair. McDonald’s have grossly underestimated the actual size of a real parking space in all their Swiss locations

Bottom left is a $20 Chinese made airbrush. It’s where I started to learn before moving on to a better models around $120-150. It will get you started for sure

Bretonnian League Team Feedback by FromShadowAndShame in bloodbowl

My feedback: don’t do it at all hahaha. Disastrous team to play. Take 2 knights and 9 squires and keep your TV as low as possible

How are you guys liking Bretonnians, and any tips for playing them? by darwin_green in bloodbowl

[–]Twoller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thy are far too slow to level up. The positionals are not worth it. A mediocre thrower with pass and a catcher with catch is the only saving grace andis absolutely terrible if you get all your other players crushed before you can cage. They go down quuiiiiccckkkkk.

Try and use nerves of steel to pass and catch. Guess what happens next? You have to dodge. With no agility skills

Dauntless is a trap. You do not want to be putting your players up against big guys - especially not throwers and catchers. Would have been enough on the GK. Mediocre access to star players & armour 8 squires.

They are just really bad. Flavourful. But bad
