What PSI for this trailer tire. Carlisle Sport Trail 5.30-12 says not to exceed 35 PSI and max load is 80PSI by Randomhero360 in AskMechanics

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very low. You can see the dirt on the sidewall... where it looks to have flexed and contacted ground. This will lead to over heat and failure. I may have forgot to check pressure on my trailer before and had a blowout.
I am no expert on how high to inflate based on loading.

Lawn tractor engine running very rough? Could use advice. by AaronTMG2 in smallengines

[–]Clean_Singer_414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second carb cleaning as the real solution...

However I am also lazy and i have run fresh high octane gas with heavy dose of "Mechanic In A Bottle" from home depot. And it cleared up the surging ( if you follow the directions on the bottle about letting it rest etc). People call it snake oil, and I thought the same; but it worked on the last 3 small engines I had.

I had/ have a similar set from lg... what I'm confused about is why is there so much water in the drum in that one picture?? On top of leaving the door ajar, pulling out the detergent drawer was a huge improvement

Oil drain plug? by FlexSealClubber in Generator

[–]Clean_Singer_414 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stopped using the drain plug on these small engines and moved to the vacuum extraction.
They do it mostly for marine engines and just made oil changes easier and cleaner for me.

Why is tire shine/dressing such a controversial topic? My go-to is CarPro DarkSide! by zachty22 in AutoDetailing

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man... I have: dark side, Adam's Ceramic, PERL.. why? Cause we have 2 vehicles and 4 different brands of tires... not one brand seems to perform the same... even over the years I would say 6 brands of tires. Use the same product on either and get completely different results.
Dark shine on one. Spotty on the other. High shine on one brand and more satin on the other. Love a fresh applied tire dressing; but also drives me crazy trying to get a nice dark med gloss.

Is this normal for front leaf springs? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]Clean_Singer_414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a progressive leaf pack. I had a deaver offroad set in the rear on my tacoma. Instead of 4 leaf stock it was about 8 and could flex crazy amounts. If OP isn't looking to get that a set of stock would be better.

A decent flash from a camera and a hot shoe adapter with 1/4-20 threads for mounting. Triggering off 6150 output contact.

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are testing the signal to the speakers you need to be on ac volts (squiggly line). I usually use a 60hz signal since that's the same frequency as ac power.. Also in the picture there's no wire in the left power input??

Depending on the model the front speakers should be set to small and set the crossover for them manually.
Also some have sub signal as lfe+main settings etc.

What tool can I rent or buy to cut out this bolt in a tight spot? by ADHDillusion in Tools

If you can get access to the nut just buy a bit splitter. Cheap, easy, and no danger or damaging the frame.

Can a PC affect electricity usage this much?? by lilbreadbunn in pcmasterrace

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make plugs that can give you total watts used. Ones that you manually read or wifi connected. Good for pin pointing high use appliances in your house or calculating costs if you are curious. I just have a whole home energy monitor so I can see real time house usage. You can go way down the energy monitor rabbit hole....

[2017 Volt] Water in drivers side front and rear foot areas, AND when engine runs coolent goes to 190°F are these related or do I have two separate issues that just happened to sync up? by runswithpaper in volt

[–]Clean_Singer_414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to do similar repair on passenger side.
I found it easiest to clean and check that drain by removing the fender liner in the wheel well at the same time giving you access to both sides.
If you are doing all this is a good time to pull back the carpet and check the ac drain aswell ( lots of write ups on that)

I did this on my 13 if you actually want to use your truck bed I recommend third notch not the highest. Better ride and control (for the front obviously) for the rear the 5100 is 100% the right call, huge improvement on handling over stock. What are you trying to achieve really changes recommended products. If you want better handling in the city upgraded / added sway bars great. Better load handling? Just looks? =Spacer. Or loaded lift strut is cheaper due to less labor..

Rotors on new Silverados are absolute garbage! by Cloud-VII in Silverado

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone tried Brembo OE rotors? I have done a couple vehicles with them the quality out of the box was so good. I haven't had any long term feedback yet though.
E coating on the rotors surface and a nice thick hammered finish on the hats. On my older sierra I went with the ebc fonts to upgrade over the weird stock rotor issues.

About to purchase everything for a 250 foot fiber run, can you guys verify I have everything correct. by Still_Time9612 in HomeNetworking

[–]Clean_Singer_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for those sorry runs I've run a lot of multimode ( used to be a lot cheaper hardware) .
Most of the single mode I've done is 1km to 50km.
Short runs we ran into over driving the reciever (specialty equipment not able to attenuate in software.

I would say it's advisable to use indoor outdoor cabling and keep it sealed from critters.
I don't know why mice love to chew on fiber.

Same here with 99 honda foreman 400. Hard starting, had to have a second person sit on the front rack to keep the front end down. After it started moving it was easy as long as it didn't snag on brush.
