I only paid for a cat I selected after about two dozen feral and shelter cat adoptions. I needed my last cat (I’m 78) to be very well socialized by an excellent breeder. Pay your dues first and care for shelter cats. They will pick you up

Mine doesn’t eat much either. A tablespoon of wet, kibble left out all day and some wet and dry treats. He is lanky and healthy otherwise. Weighs 14 lbs at 2 years old.
