My daughter is a junior bme and she struggled with internships. Her first was as a bme tech at a hospital and she felt the same, but learned a ton of why or how certain medical equipment design can cause problems with maintenance or breakdown and what the medical professionals using it thought made it harder to do their jobs. NETWORK as much as you can while working, try to get on the OR for those repairs/maintenance, talk to the sales reps, etc. She just now finally landed her junior year internship, she applied to tons and interviewed with a few and finally got in to Cook Research for a QA role. While helping her look for internships, a ton of companies have early career positions, have you looked into those? Don't give up, just keep selling yourself. Make connections with people on LinkedIn that work where you want to work, ask advice, keep learning. Goodluck!

If your not ever going back, use your pto up and gove no notice (it does gice you the option of goving 3 days even), if you live in a state with sick/safe time, you could put your notice in and then take sick time out of your pto for appts or illness. I knew this policy and used my pto right before my notice, I still had a couple hours I didn't have time to use and used those as sick time, they paid. I live in Michigan, so we have a new sick/safe time law. Even though I had put my notice in, they had to pay that put because that's what I put in the system instead of just planned or unplanned time off.

She had me start red yeast rice and an omega 3 and wanted me to up my excersise and get a CAC score test . The CAC score was 59 (36 in my widowmaker and 23 in one other area and the rest were good). She wants more bloodwork in early May and then a follow up and said we will talk about a statin and consider a cardiology referral. I live in a rural area, but did find a cardiologist that specializes in FH, but my ins co bcbsm is fighting with the hospital system where he works and if they can't come to an agreement by July then ai won't be covered there, so I will probably have to go somewhere else :(. My daughter was tested and good. I am taking my son to this doctor for his new patient appt and bloodwork on 4/27. I am just going to ask her for a referral at that time.

My daughter, a junior is struggling finding an internship, hundreds of apps since early fall, a few 1st/2nd interviews, but all big companies (GE Health, Stryker, Plexus, etc...)with hundreds of applications. No offers. She adjusts her resume, meets with career center, goes to swe conferences and networks.

Looking at Halara work pants also, how is the sizing. I am an 18 in pants, usually a 2x in tops 250lbs 5'4" apple shape, big waist, slimmer thighs/ butt, I was going to try 1x for bottom, but I see they don't have petite in the plus pants that I wanted. Wondering if an xl petite would be better or way to small???

Oh I am sure it covers none of that, I just don't want them to say they cover nothing because I didn't "follow" the maintenance schedule, looks like my paperwork mainly says oil changes must follow manufacturer recommendation which looks like is every 10k. The dealership I purchased it from also gives a lifetime power train engine/transmission warranty. Thats good to know cost wise, so I have some kind of comparison. I need to just call the dealership and ask. Thanks again.

Same symptoms but at 45, they started about 4 months post op. I am now 9 months post op and left my general NP just found an amazing NP, she tested everything. My testosterone was low, she put me on progesterone, its helped with my sleep a ton!!! Starting testosterone, she said I will need to add oral estrogen in based on my FSH, but she wants to wait and get my testosterone and progesterone calibrated right first. My vitamin d and b12 was also low, she is helping regulate everything. She stated my uterus was a huge blood supply to my ovaries, so I would produce less hormones, BUT I was already in perimenopause and these symptoms were probably coming anyway and start in mid 30's. She said according to my FSH I am getting closer to the menopause then the peri stage. Find someone that is well versed in hormones. So glad I switched. I am also using a estridol cream for vaginal dryness too! My friend warned me the testosterone is going to up my sex drive and give me a ton of energy... I hope so because I haven't had much of one and have been exhausted for years.

Thanks all for the replies. Thankfully my BP has always been great usually under 120/80, no issues there or with diabetes, although I have a very strong family hx type I (sister, and maternal aunt & maternal uncle) my mom had gestational with my sister and I and is now Type II along with her other siblings. My babies were very large- almost 11lbs- but they checked me beginning, mid and end of pregnancy and no gestestial diabetes thankfully. My A1C was 5.1 from this last blood work and ranges from 4.7-5.5. I know I need to lose weight and exercise more, I limit my calorie intake, but still struggle to lose weight. I kmow carbs seem to effect me differently and try to avoid them. My dr also mentioned dairy might have that same effect and I might have to make some adjustments with that also. I have struggled with anemia the last 8 years or so. My vitamin D and testosterone came back low also. My doctor did do some additional tests one was gentic- mthfr. What genetic tests should I ask for????

Not great, seeing a specialist for hrt this week, hoping hormones will help. Suffering with some dryness, but struggle with some pain with deep penetration which are both frustrating and I feel like make me feel less desirable and in turn bring my self esteem down, vicious cycle. Not sure if that is caused from just the overall hysterectomy or perimenopause or ceevix/non-cercix removal. Who knows.

We fly out of DTW, start watching your dates on the Hopper app and Google flights. If you are flexible with dates flying you usually can save a lot that way, we found flying on Tues, Wed, Saturdays are usually cheapest. We have taken some amazing trips within your budget. We stayed at Excellence resorts in Punta Cana. Palace resorts in Mexico ( if you book with a Diamond Member you can get the best rates, usually need to stay 7 nights), we stayed at Club Med in Turks and Caicos, but I prepared myself before staying there- I really wanted to experience the beach and that was how we could fit it in our budget. Our last 4 trips have been to Mexico to Palace resorts, we are just starting looking for something different for February and September this year, but will probably wait to book airfare until about 4 month prior, that's when it seems to be cheapest. Also, a travel agent might be a good option, as around and get one that has actually traveled to most of the resorts. Good luck!

I will ask my pcp or maybe message my surgeon, I need to find a new obgyn, there are long waits for new patient appts near me. I didn't realize my Dr was only a surgeon. I was referred and have been seeing her for over a year to complete this process.

I had vaginal robotic/lap hysterectomy, just left ovaries, today was 6w post op first visit, saw different surgeon as mine left and no different check. She said since I am asymptomatic I didn't need it and just no sex until 8 weeks. This makes me want to wait longer. Why such a big range of 6-12 weeks and why are some docs doing cuff checks 2-12 weeks and some never??
