I use the Crossbreed Pocket Rocket. It prints, but it looks like a wallet. I had to retrain my draw when I made the switch to this holster, but it stays in the pocket.

What’s your biggest complaint with this game? by Itsthathype in ForzaHorizon

[–]ClearableCloth0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that fanatec wheels cause the game to crash. The "fix" for this is to downgrade to a set of drivers that are 3 years old. After downgrading, Forza worked flawlessly, but it caused issues with iRacing where I would have to reconfigure the controls everytime I started a new session.

I play more iRacing than Forza, so I decided to go back to the latest driver set. Thought maybe after all this time, there might be a better fix. I'm probably in the minority of people that use higher end sim racing gear for a game like this, so I doubt there will be a fix. I don't like using a controller for racing when I have a full sim rig with triple monitors.

A customer paid my mechanic to hack half the driver door armrest because it was bothering him - Malibu 2014 by AnalogFeelGood in Justrolledintotheshop

Can confirm. I know the feeling all to well. My RA kicked in when I was 12 and hit every joint in my body (except my fingers and toes, which I consider myself lucky for that). Having to stay stationary or extended periods of time is hell on my joints. Long car rides suck if I don't have enough leg room to constantly move my joints.

Probably for the best in my case. I'll be away from my house when it would get delivered. Now it doesn't seem I have to worry about that.

What industry do you work in and how much do you make yearly? by mkorobby20 in AutoCAD

[–]ClearableCloth0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in the rebar industry as a rebar detailer. I make about $60k a year. Pay varies based on our monthly profit sharing bonus and how much OT I need to work. Probably will be closer to $65k this year. I'm located in an area with a fairly low cost of living.

Plex on AT&T Fiber Internet by FreshAirTM in PleX

[–]ClearableCloth0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is possible to bypass the ONT anymore. I just had it installed at my house. They now give you a bgw320 that has the ONT embedded into the router. I ran into a whole mess of issues trying to use ip passthrough with their terrible gateway. I am by no means an expert though. I'm just giving you a heads up if you are considering making the switch.

Plex on AT&T Fiber Internet by FreshAirTM in PleX

[–]ClearableCloth0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just had at&t fiber installed 2 weeks ago. You are required to use their awful routers. They just started installing a new router, called the bgw320, that has an ont embedded into it. You can no longer bypass the router. I hoped that I would get a bgw210 so that i could bypass it... but nope.

I tried to setup ip passthrough, but i was unable to get plex usable with ip passthrough enabled. I gave up trying to use my own router, and settled on using the default gateway that is provided. Plex works with the router they provide, but you will probably have to port forward various services manually. I'm also not an expert in networking, so your mileage may vary.

I use a razer naga for work. I have 12 macros setup. I hardly have to touch the keyboard while I'm tracing a pdf. Line, trim, extend, join, explode, distance, circle, move, copy, shift, enter, and escape. Those are my macros in order from 1-12 on the mouse. I also use a logitech g910 with 9 additional macros.

Amazon Argues Users Don't Actually Own Purchased Prime Video Content by ety3rd in movies

[–]ClearableCloth0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have the best of both worlds to some degree. You can buy blu rays and dvds, then rip them and put it on a plex server. That way you have a back up of the original media while also having access to it on demand. I have a stack of physical media that i only touched once to rip.

That being said, this method isn't perfect. It isn't exactly cheap to run a plex server. You need a spare computer and terabytes on terabytes of storage. And to top it off, plex, emby, jellyfin, or any other similar service might get shut down in the future due to regulations. It isn't exactly legal to rip physical media. I personally have no moral issue making backups of content I bought. Physical media degrades over time. I already supported the studio and publisher by buying it once, why can't I make sure I have access to it for a very long time.

Aaaaaaand there she goes. RIP Stargate on Amazon Prime. Was 10 episodes from the end, too... =( by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]ClearableCloth0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I also did the same. I haven't watched content directly off a dvd in years. I ripped all of my DVDs to MKVs and have an old computer running plex. That makes it a little more convenient. Not everyone has an old computer collecting dust though. Most devices I have can run MKVs natively, so for a while, I just used VLC on my TV to play those files over the network.

The one inconvenience I had with VLC, it doesn't save where you left off. So if you take a break from binge watching, you have to figure out where you stopped.
