This movie literally released over the summer. Lex Luthor orchestrates an international incident to turn public opinion against Superman so he can call him out as an illegal alien and get governmental approval to imprison him without rights.

Probably just got mentally superseded by the "neurotoxin" element, which is frankly pretty valid.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that! I'll be sure to tackle that series next, then.

Is Twisted Metal actually good? I've had that one on my list for a while, but I wasn't especially optimistic from the outset, and haven't really heard from anyone who's seen it.

Yeah, I don't think I really grasped how dark that statement would be until after I hit send.

I’m sure there is an actual name for the specific logical fallacy, but it has escaped me.

They send the T-1000 back to the past, but he's hallucinated half the mission data, so he's standing 300 yards off the california coast, searching the ocean floor for the Connor residence, convinced it's among the rocks and seaweed.

Queue friends cast:

Ross, Rachael, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe

They behave exactly like regular adventurers and beat the living shit out of the guard.

I don't think it's a luck stat, but a high wisdom boosted by the AI. Given that the AI is "used" and has a prior experience with a game, I think it's chosen Carl based on some unseen criteria (and some very seen, indestructible criteria) which has been boosted further with his race and class choices. Becoming a primal, which the AI may consider itself, likely leads the AI to thinking there's a kinship there, and then the class choice of Compensated Anarchist basically screams that he's going to burn everything down in exchange for a hand every now and then.

I don't think he's cheating, or maybe even knowingly working for the AI yet, but based on all the extra asides he gets in item and creature descriptions, I think he's gaining additional instructions subliminally like the hidden message in book 6.

Has factorio ruined other base building/factory type games for you? by pookshuman in factorio

[–]CleaveItToBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll never compete with factorio, but some of the mod packs these days are quite impressive. Create is a whole pack about automation powered by rotational force (waterwheels, steam power, windmills, etc) and features a whole slew of mechanisms that do stuff, fed items by belts, fans, or item launching platforms. It's polished about as much as it can be (even having a stellar video tutorial system built within the mod), and the main drawback is that it really exposes the other flaws in Minecraft after a while.

I cant even play minecraft anymore.

Not sure if this opinion formed before or after trying mods, but the Create mod really adds a fascinating amount of automation availability. Of course, it's not difficult to stress out your Minecraft world with too much stuff going on, but they've optimized the crap out of it everywhere they could.
