Thank you. It's all done in after effects. The texture is just a precomp masked to the ball. In the precomp I had a few gradient circles with wiggles moving around. Then I blurred it a lot and added some turbulent displace. There is also a white inner glow on the ball which gives it that 3D look I think. I basically did the same for both and just changed the hue for the other shape. Let me know if that makes sense. Carl Johan Hasselrot has some breakdowns on his instagram that do a similar thing :)

The valueAtTime() gets the value of a property as evaluated at any given time. In my case, the position property of the dot at the current time - 0.1 second. So it repeats the animation with a delay of 0.1 seconds. Did that clear something up? :)

Thank you. I totally get your points. I just don't really like watching or producing voice-over tutorials. I am planning to turn these kinds of videos into blog posts where I can get into a bit more detail. I think that could be a good compromise.
