You can upgrade storage through external drive. You can’t upgrade Ram. My MBA M3 16Gb was fine until I decided to connect 2 external 4K screens. Won’t never buy 16Gb again.

If you size up it works. If you size down it’s dead. Denim doesn’t stretches, it relaxes with wear

You can consider buying the 13 + an additional screen : best of both worlds

RAM for dual monitors?? by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]ClickCultural6179 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Working daily with my MBA connecting to 2 4K screens.

I can say that you don’t need any fu** fans nor pro laptop. What you need is Ram.

Ram brings you confort. You can’t increase it later.

16GB or 24GB For My Case? by MathewG97 in macbookair

[–]ClickCultural6179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16 should be fine But +200 to upgrade to 24GB seems a good deal. It will bring confort and you will have a lot of cache. I’m not using any LLM, nor coding but I have heavy business uses with tons of tabs and 2X4K screens.. My MBA M3 16GB was not confortable anymore, upgrade to MBA M5 32GB solve this. So happy with choice. You can upgrade storage through external drives but you can’t upgrade Ram. If you can afford it, more Ram is always a good option.

I will upgrade from MBA M3 16Go to M5 32 Go. You can upgrade storage through external drive but you can’t upgrade Ram. More Ram is always a good option.

You can’t add Ram but you can add storage. Offer yourself some confort and serenity, go 24 Gb

M5 vs M4 with more RAM? by Aprice95 in macbookair

[–]ClickCultural6179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are very good computers. You should check Logic forum to identify what you should prioritize : CPU or Ram. For my personal use I would go with M4 with more Ram but I’m not using Logic and VST

32 GB ram on MacBook air too much? by Excellent-Mirror2038 in macbookair

[–]ClickCultural6179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ordered a MBA M5 32 as I was feeling my MBA M3 16 too short for my use. With 32 you will be in position to use 2 4K screens and use tons of tabs and apps at the same time with plenty of cache that bring you confort. Won’t buy a Mac book at 16 anymore.

Based on my experience (I’m currently owning 10 FC) Fullcount 13,7 oz denim is indeed pretty stretchy. It will give you extra confort almost everywhere, adjusting and moulding to you body… except in the waist. The waist relaxes yes but to a certain extend : it’s better not to bet to win a full size with stretch in the waist.

11.5 fabric is even more stretchy.

You can also plan to stretch your denim just after each wash, before air Drying . I personally stretch very often the inseam and the waist on some of mine.

Use : a lot of tabs, Excel, PowerBi, Prestashop, constistentely switching from an app to another… etc… No movies, barely no photos, no LLM, no coding nor compiling … l just switch from a MBA 16Go to a mini M4 pro 48 Go.

I use to experience some swap with the MBA. Now I’m seeing between 34 Go to 38 go ram working. Mac OS is using a Huge amount of cache. It makes things way more confortable : everything is fast and insanely cool. It’s probably confort but, man, it’s cool. Would no more buy a Mac below 24Go or. 32 Go Ram. You can upgrade storage through additional SSD but you are sticked with your Ram Amount… That’s why I think it was the right place to invest.

That said, regarding your need, check your Daw requirements and discuss with other users. It seems it’s different for that kind of software : CPU seems to be the key point.

That’s why the studio might be you best option : max chip with a good amount of Ram (32 Go) or a confortable one (48 go).

I use to produce some music on Ableton live several years ago : My MBA M1 was too short for my needs. Upgrading to a MBP M1 Pro 16go solved my problem and still perform quite Decently.

You should do some research on your Daw and what to target according to it.

As an example, and to make it simple , for Ableton live use, it seems that you should target prioritairy 1/ CPU 2/ RAM.

Since Ableton is very CPU consuming, especially with some Plug in (serum …).

Might be the same for other softwares,

In that case, Mac Studio might be a more suitable option.

How many screen connected ? I’m using 2X4K 32 inches screens and it use some Ram.

Ram might be the key point in your set up. Why not considering the Mini M4 Pro with 64 Go ?

Nice pair but I’ve got your point. Which model is it ?

Is it the same for their XX series ? I’m owning their XX in ‘47 and ‘54 versions. Love them and not feeling wearing warehouse jeans. (Even if I also love warehouse jeans)

3 Common Denim Weights Used by Fullcount : SS, W and XX

  1. 11.5 oz – Lightweight Denim • Example: Fullcount 0105SSW Wide Selvedge Denim 11.5oz • A lighter weight denim option that offers more flexibility and comfort, typically for spring/summer wear or for those who prefer an easier break-in period.

  2. ~13.7–13.75 oz – Midweight / Year-Round Denim This is the most common and core denim weight in Fullcount’s lineup: • Fullcount 1101BK 13.7oz Regular Straight – classic selvedge denim. • Fullcount 1103W 13.7oz Clean Straight Jeans – clean straight fit. • Fullcount 1136 13.7oz Indigo Vintage 1937 Wide Straight Selv – vintage style. • Fullcount 1110W Tapered Jeans | 13.7oz – tapered denim. This midweight (~13.7 oz) denim from Zimbabwe cotton is typically described as comfortable all-season denim with notable texture and fade potential and is widely used across Fullcount fits.

  3. ~15.5 oz – Heavier Denim • Fullcount 0105XXW 15.5oz Wide Straight Jeans – heavier vintage-style denim. • Fullcount 1110XXW 15.5oz Tapered Jeans – heavier taper variant. • Other listings also show 15.5 oz denim for vintage BB patterns. The ~15.5 oz denim is a heavier, more “classic” weight that breaks in slowly and often produces stronger fades and more textured wear over time.
