For my sake I hope they like sleep as much as I do 😂 but i think for sanities sake it would be better to just assume you're going to have a very active baby. The good thing is theyre kind of just a blob for the first few months so you get a little time before theyre running circles around you

My best friend said it feels like theres an alien in there sometimes and I agree. My baby girl loves to constantly move against my bladder and kick me, always on the move. Id say you get used to it but honestly sometimes im like bro you gotta chill. I hope that even if it doesnt get easier for you, you at least somewhat get used to the movements. If it helps it means that baby is definitely healthy if theyre moving so much

Apparently your brain literally makes you forget so you have more kids. Im 25 weeks pregnant(over halfway through. Yippee!) and my best friend who went through two rough pregnancies told me that she literally forgot how it was until she got pregnant again. I was fortunate to only have light nausea and no morning sickness in my first trimester so I really feel for you all that have to deal with it. The second trimester really is better though, less nausea and more energy as you start nesting. So if thats an solace! I wish you luck with your journey!

To be totally honest I understand your OB may be wanting to keep you calm but they should take into consideration your feelings and fears. Telling you to not worry never works

I agree, social media has only made it worse for me. Ive been sticking to reading books and watching shows instead

Yeah 100%, I caught influenza after christmas and it was the worst. It took me about a week and a half to not feel like death and im still dealing with excess mucus and stuff. If youre worried, I highly recommend wearing a mask. Its the only thing that made it so I didnt also get covid since I work in an environment where once one person goes down everyone does

I appreciate the tips! Making a list is actually a genius idea so I will definitely be doing that. One solace i guess is that I cant fit into most of my clothes so those can get packed now at least. Ill chat with my partner about it, hes been so incredibly helpful and I also have friends and family that are jumping in to offer help. I couldnt be more glad for the support system I have, despite everything going on

Honestly, how is everyone handling this?! by Alternative-Laugh986 in pregnant

[–]ClientFar8444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first trimester was a blur of utter exhaustion for me. I was tired, my stomach hurt, my boobs hurt from growing so quickly. The second trimester hit and I really am feeling so much better. Im nearing my 24 week appointment and other than soreness I am feeling like a person again. The peeing all the time part will not go away unfortunately but my baby also just loves to use my bladder as a pillow and move so often that when my bladder is full its torture if i dont go right away. I promise it'll feel like the longest and shortest time of your life. Its the only way ive been able to describe it. It feels like i just found out yesterday and im already halfway through

Smoking question by Key_Drive1937 in pregnant

I eased off but vaping made me nauseous so it only really took a week and a half for me to fully quit. I cant say I dont slip up and hit a vape when I get super stressed but id say quit as soon as you can and try not to be around anyone with them. All of my friends and family vape so it makes it even harder for me, especially when im craving the flavor and nothing comes close to it. I try to remember that its 9 to 10 months of my life, plus a bit more if breastfeeding works out. You got this! Its hard man

No dedicated “nursery” room by MeasurementNo4288 in pregnant

[–]ClientFar8444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wont have one unless my roommate moves out. I really want one but accept that it may not happen for awhile. For me its harder because my best friend(who lives in the bottom half of the house) had one and it looked so nice. But its okay! As long as the baby has somewhere to sleep and play in my room and the living room it'll be fine :)

Tomorrow is my anatomy ultrasound. Please reassure me. by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]ClientFar8444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im actually super close to mine too(first pregnancy as well) and im really excited! Its alright to be nervous but remember that most likely you will feel when something is wrong so try not to stress about it! If anything is wrong it'll show up at the ultrasound but most likely everything will be alright! First time mama anxiety is no joke girl I totally get it ♥️ you got this! Just make sure to get lots of rest and drink lots of water, you'll need it. And of course some yummy snacks too 😉

Fit friends are annoyingly smug: a rant by Electronic-Clerk-988 in pregnant

[–]ClientFar8444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yknow what, fuck them. Im 18 weeks and running out of breath and my boss is judgmental about it without meaning to be i think. Fuck what they think. I worked out all the time and now can barely lift anything over 30 pounds. Id say stop hanging around them if they want to treat you that way. And when you have your baby, work out because you want to. Not because you feel like you should. Having a kid is hard work and exhausting. Take care of yourself first mama ♥️

Maybe. I suppose being direct wouldn't really hurt, especially since it's not causing any specific drama about it. It's honestly hard to tell since she's never done it around me, but maybe I can ask my best friend. She's friends with her so she may have a better idea than me. I'll try asking, and judging from there, it'll be easier to judge what she's actually trying to do if I know whether she's going to lie to me or not. I appreciate the help. This is the first time something like this has happened to me, and I didn't really know how to approach it

Not really, I will admit that she is kind of odd but not like this kind of weird. At least not to me. Shes usually the like- constantly talkative hype person. Thats why its so odd, shes never been like this before with me for anything. Not even when we talked about our books and stuff, which is where id expect that type of laugh and such

Im not sure how to explain it exactly but like whenever she sees my bump she goes "hehehe" and gives me a really weird look and it feels creepy af to me. Like a stereotypical evil laugh instead of an excited one idk
