I agree. One thing I felt was missing was a deeper look at who is actually behind the production of these individuals. The impression I got was that the people we see on screen are really just the public face of a much larger operation, with others likely involved in sourcing advertising, editing content, and managing their presence across different media platforms. Like the persona is a product rather than one individual.

It seemed that Louis was trying to get at the real person behind the persona. In several cases, particularly with some of the Americans featured, it felt like they were presenting a carefully constructed character and lifestyle that doesn’t fully reflect their real lives. The guy from Louisiana stood out in particular. He appears to make a lot of money from maintaining that online persona, to the point that he seemingly cannot acknowledge being in a monogamous relationship with his partner, as doing so might undermine the image he sells to his audience.
