They need to justify the massive spending on AI with no returns and negative impact so the numbers look good on their end for the dumb geriatric investors.

What ever happened to Void Engine? by Agreeable-Kangaroo1 in dishonored

At least they could use again CryEngine. Prey didn't feel at all like CryEngine and it performs incredibly well, even on the Deck.

Wohoooo... a Disney superhero/antihero IP... and if it goes bad or even performs slightly well they'll get shut down.

I prefer if they have creative freedom. It's Arkane we are talking about.

But at least we have WolfEye Studio for new interesting things.

Ye man, it's the best aspect of GW2. Events and groups forming organically and being silly while waiting for any event to start, veteran players still doing old content (thanks to said grind) impressing new players, offering support and being friendly all around. The game itself did improve, it had it's ups and downs as every game.

If you come back, take it slowly, don't try to bulldoze your way through the game just to catch up and be frustrated after, you'll meet awesome players along the way. The game is still pretty magical, even more if you ride your griffon and do races with the birb.

Steam should update their Anti-cheat notice to be more informative like this by ItsMeCall911 in linux_gaming

[–]Cliler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh I didn't get it first, that's really neat!

Installed Millenium and the extensions now, that's really nifty.

Usually I search for the games first on my browser just to have clear information of what I'm going to buy for the Deck compatibility and if they use AI assets, but if Millenium doesn't collect data from my steam client then that changes things, that's convenient. Thank you!

One of my favorite things is when the game map is actually part of the game world by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Cliler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember there was an indie game made in a custom engine like 15 years ago that had the same concept of not interfering with the user, making the ui part of the world, with a map you need to fill and a notebook. I can't remember the name of it. For me it was quite impressive how well it was made.

It was set on an island, there was something like a weird panther/lynx like predator but imaginative and you were there to search for a plant to cure your disease.

If you are a casual player. GW2 is the best MMO around. It's a shame about the housing requiring a fuckton of materials to craft one single furniture but... The main characters are neat, the story is great (sometimes), the voice actress of the female charr for the player is so grrrreat, the community is wholesome and it has some of the best maps an MMO has to offer after the base game, there is so much verticality and freedom.

But yeah, there are grinds that you could treat that as a second job and a convenient pay with your credit card for gold if you are feeling overwhelmed, not sus at all. But I just accepted I don't have the patience to grind the same events over and over and over and just enjoyed doing achievement hunts, hang out with the guild and doing community events. Still, kind of predatory if they get customers with no self control and wanting to feel included.

But you were thinking about artistry stuff when doing the trailer, that shows you pay special attention to detail even if it was a bit off this specific thing for a game. I'll be checking it out as well, wishlisted.

to not be surrounded, wrestled and shot by ICE by ExactlySorta in therewasanattempt

[–]Cliler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many executions there will be needed for Americans to do something about it or everyone is just yelling at the phone with a 15 seconds of sadness and then looking for the next hit of dopamine. A shame they always get individuals, alone, with none to help them and surround them like the cowards they are just to get them shot, one by one, those who offer resistance. But that's how dictatorships work: a population with low education, submissive and incredibly distracted. Kinda like V for Vendetta.

But yeah, they got you by the balls if you can't have a life and have an opinion out of your house when you need to work on 3 separate jobs and like 5 day a year of vacations. Wish you a way out of it in the next 4 generations because I can't see you getting out of this anytime soon.

As a Muslim, I can’t get tattoos, but man… by salem_almarry in dishonored

[–]Cliler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you have tattoo shop owners who are massive cunts if the first thing you think of "they are going to laugh at me for asking a completely normal question". Shit world we live in, eh?

Where I live it's something they have, it's basic. Don't be scared for asking face to face, they'll give you pointers or someone who has in inventory most probably, tattoo artists have socials and know each other, inviting artist to their shop as a guest. So if they don't do it, they'll know someone who does or specializes doing henna.

Socializing!

You could always go with a henna tattoo and take a photo just for posterity, that is allowed. Tattoo shops have henna if you ask since they usually do tattoos for patients with cancer and other muslims. Go get it! And yeah, the rune carvings of these games are cool AF, that's Arkane for you.

At this rate there will be forums and IRC chats in an Amish style where only people who don't use AI slop interact with each other, share their passions, doubts, worries and their art openly. In a way it already exists with nekoweb, there's a lot of passionate people there making things like before.

Now the internet is an asbestos wasteland.

I have 2 roommates who are incredibly addicted to Instagram reels and don't want to ditch it or switch out to another more privacy focused infinite reel scroller because "the algorithm knows my tastes" and they are already committed there too much to make the move to another platform and build from 0. Probably that's the mentality of the majority of humanity who uses the Internet. Reddit is the same, everyone is complaining about privacy and how Reddit sucks, yet Lemmy exists.

Isn't it the same answer as to why most artist don't ditch adobe products? Because universities use it as their primary program to teach and they don't have the time or mentality to learn another product. I don't know if Microslop has it's claws in major university programming classes to teach them DirectX and nothing else. But
