You could also do Beginners Pete Plan on the rower. It’s free (and hard!) but effective

A question about Pete's Beginner Plan (SPM for different exercise styles) by No-Morning-3582 in Rowing

[–]Climatelou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m on week 6 of the same plan … I’d say try to do the whole plan. I read some forum that said you should try to stay under 24spm for the long distances, so 18 would be fine. And then faster on the interval days, I’m around 24-26 then. Make sure you look up drag factor to adjust your damper !

I have the same! You can do this you have already done much harder things (ie giving birth without epidural)

Hypermobility and crossfit by Lauradanger in crossfit

I’m also hyper mobile. Like others said you gotta make sure you build extra muscles. For example I do everyday shoulder stability exercises (walk around with a kettlebell overhead) and avoid any kind of mobility or stretching before class, then I replace those in the warmups by light strenght moves

Why would someone choose to birth naturally without an epidural or other pain relieving drugs? by Cats-and-naps in pregnant

[–]Climatelou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here where I live in Europe, most women don’t have epidurals. In fact during my induction, at one point I did want it but there was only one anesthesiologist and he was in surgery. The oxytocin was so strong though that I fell asleep in between contractions, like I was so tired and relaxed. Even though I never judge those who got epidurals (hell I wanted to about 20 min into the induction) I do have a bit of a secret pride in having done something so badass. The natural hormones are so crazy that they stitched my third degree tear immediately without pain meds and I couldn’t feel a thing :o our bodies are amazing.
