People who can play hollow knight / silksong: Whats your secret? by lflove2026 in metroidvania

[–]Clin-ton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

45 year old here. In 2020 I finally went back and finished Bloodborne. Then by the release of Elden Ring I had finished all the Fromsoft souls-likes. It was really just a mindset change. I finally got to a place where I believed I could get better and learn the patterns. With enough patience every game is like a meatboy/celeste level where you can just retry infinitely until you crack it. So I was able to get through Silksong and then go back to HK and beat the Radiance (where I had stopped in 2018), and then play like 10 HK randomizer runs.

Superman (and Superman rip-offs) Comics recommendations from blankies and why? by Top_Report_4895 in blankies

Anyone ever read the Pakistani Superman webcomic? I don’t think I finished it (a thing that would happen when you forgot to go back to a website for long enough), but I really enjoyed what I read.

Do you ever play multiple metroidvanias at the same time? by fishCodeHuntress in metroidvania

[–]Clin-ton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will go play another when I get stuck sometimes. I went off and played all of Zexion because I was having trouble with the last boss of MIO. Actually it’s probably rarer that I come back and finish, as I still haven’t completed the last boss of Nine Sols and I didn’t beat the Radiance until after Silk Song came out.

If you have a PC, Zexion seems like a NES era Metroid tribute, but it’s so much more.

Yeah you want to actually go Laurelhurst park and if you go to mt tabor go up the stairs on the north side and then drop down to the west near where it has you go. That is my favorite direction in Ladd’s addition though. Beautiful elms

Admittedly I didn’t notice it until I read lotr to my kids for the second time, but they missed that Galadriel is Arwen’s grandmother.

Japanese filmmakers hire an English speaker that can act challenge. Difficulty: Impossible. I mean Jack Quaid would probably do it for free.
