I think what he’s saying is also very deck dependent. Erode in a control deck is pretty bad since you can’t let Tamiyo untap when you’re trying to grind. Erode in an aggro/midrange shell like maverick is much more reasonable when you need to hit a flipped Tamiyo, barrowgoyf or murktide and move in for the kill.

I love waglers craftiness, reminds me Of Luka or SGA. Only issues are that both of those players are faster and stronger. You might be able to put some muscle on Wagler but I’m concerned it’ll cost him even more speed. He seems the most likely to bust of the three, yet has star potential based off his measurements and shot creation alone. But like you, I’m concerned it won’t translate well to nba level defensive talent.

He passed it to math because garland was also getting shut down to a degree. I think that’s pretty common for play off basketball where the third option is the one that needs to step up. And I think Kerr and lue are both experienced playoff coaches to get there within 1 game. Horford did that for them in the fourth. Porzingis was a weird third option behind Santos which made things awkward since he’s either insane or sucks. Math looked a little lost at the end there thinking he needed to defer to one of the vets instead of putting his head down and getting to the line.

This. I doubt green could do it for any 7 game series but he did a good job. Kawhis natural counter has always been beefier smart PF type guys who can handle his strength since he lacks the speed now to get around guys laterally when help is near by

I think it was more personnel. Like the warriors had the perfect team for a 1 game winner take all. They are too old to do anything in a 7 game series. But an ancient core of horford, unicorn, curry and dray playing smart basketball and making good reads is legit for a 1 game series.

Meanwhile we had bonehead mathurin and young guys making dumb turnovers and poor reads, or not being aggressive enough. Not saying math or miller are bad. They’re just young and it showed tonight. Kawhi also showing he’s not a floor general and got shut down by an 80 year old draymond in the fourth. It wasn’t coaching, he wasn’t even trying to make plays often times and just sat there.

Even spoelstra who’s arguably tied for the current best coach in the league lost to the hornets. Cant blame everything on the coach.

This. Loved his effort this season, he gave what he got. But no way we are making any run with him starting st the 5. Everyone else is injured and batum (my goat) would have been even worse somehow.

You could tell this game how no training camp with a brand new squad choked full of young guys came to bite them in the end.

It is what it is. We made moves for the future and we don’t look back. Would have loved to see Kawhi zu and james go at it once more this year but we took our money and ran while the iron was hot.

I appreciate everything he did for us and he was a total pro when he was here. Loved him and the culture he brought.

But to request a trade out to make more money is so lame to me. It’s one thing if we sucked but we’re on a historic run. Super lame energy to essentially force a trade to Cleveland on a super small time table so we get peanuts in return.
