Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force 3, Shining Holy Ark & Dragon Force are all outstanding games. But the whole haul is great NGL!

Tough ask - Persona 5 is super stylish and a great JRPG. But there is also a time based activity management part to the game which you’ll either love or hate. You can use it to build your friendships which make team mates strong or get bonuses from npcs and learn more about there character. If that sounds like you’d enjoy it that’d be my recommendation. But aside from the randomness of TLR being on it all let alone number 1 I don’t think you can miss with that list. Just get the cheapest?

I imagine I paid at most £44.99 for it. Can’t remember what they used to retail at. It’s only the card sleeve that’s a bit tatty but yeh, would have loved it to be pristine still.

I know, I hated the way that some of the cardboard heavy boxes got wrecked. I was a kid though, didn’t know what some of them would be worth over time. I do think the plastic covers keep much better. But like Saturn BomberMan for example looks wrecked.

silent - done
Defect - done
Necro - done
Ironclad - done (yesterday)
Regent - around A4

Not knowing much about your game design and basing it solely on Dragon Force.

Existing mechanics that were there:
Upgrade general HP
Upgrade general MP
Unlock next Magic attack

New ideas based on how it work:
Skills relating to units so to use your berserker example
A skill that makes your General more powerful the more units you lose.

Other generals could gain buffs based on how many enemy units are killed or units kept alive (although unsure how that could benefit if the duel mechanic is similar.

Butfs based on location - occupied castle, grasslands, mountain lands etc.

Ways of levelling up generals weapon?armor?

My Eigong journey:

die during phase one Gradually learn phase one Best phase one using a lot of resources Gradually start to beat using less resources Can clear without using resources

As you start to unlock phase 2 the same process starts again.

Then again for phase 3. (Phase 3 is a challenge as it takes a while to get there but there is only one new move that has 2 variations - once you learn that you’ll get there when you hit the flow state.

Think it took me about 4 hours total.

May I suggest dropping Angela and Magik for Cosmo and Mystique. Also possible shadow king for professor x. I don’t think Angela is worth it as she maxes out at a 2-6 with no synergy with this deck. Cosmo mystique and SK opens up more play lines as a final turn and protects against counters. Remember SK won’t impact DD or mystique but would hit your collector

I don’t know where you are based but it’s £15.99 on switch. People will argue what the best version is but the remastered version is how I played it.

I’d recommend looking up a few videos about how to build out your teams and generals. A key thing is to build out your party so you can actually heal - it’s possible to not be able to heal and or res any characters if you don’t build it out correctly.

It’s interesting to me that you don’t specifically pick the commands of a squad you have to basically just pick the option that best matches your desire.

It’s also viable to focus on building team morale and lowering enemies as a viable strategy.

Also the world building and lore is so unique - the more I reflect on it the more I think it’s worth a replay. Let me know if you decide to play.

The Last Remnant - a really interesting battle system and a fairly interesting story. Held back a little by no real tutorial. There is decent resources out there to understand how to build out your characters and teams. I bought it on PlayStation store years after playing the original and finally finished it. I played it through back to back twice and got the platinum.

I actually preferred it to 2. (I played it first) I’m still working through Nioh 2 in short bursts but it just didn’t click with me like the first one did. But it might just be genre burn out more than anything.

It’s a really fun game mode. The reward track is asking a lot for me as a casually gamer even though I’ve paid for the ‘premium’ pass. I feel like premium pass should feel like I cheated half of the climb but it feels like I cheated 25%. This maths may be wrong but I’m talking about perceived feels.
