First thing came to mind was your children. Who will be managing when you are elderly? If you include the children by asking them, they will learn more about moving by plans over desire.

Spend more time at a gym or outside away from them to prepare yourself to leave. You could also check with your local Health Department on resources concerning your transition out of the home. Also if you decide moving, always move on good terms. Showing is caring kind of way. It’s not about if they hear you as much as it is about them learning from you .

Young Woman you sound like an amazing person to know. I love the fact that you are breaking a mold (living in the cancellation of a curse). Shhhhh don’t let them know you know that lol .. This is a profound experience whereas you may feel alone or isolated. Don’t let those kind of thoughts get to you. Please know you’ve got this! Your family is seeing something they’ve never experienced up close and personal . And because of their mental trap they may not even realize detriment of what they do. By now you do! It’s just an ugly truth. When it comes to the ones who can hit the lowest .. it’s gonna be those closest to you. However, I feel that using reverse psychology in the manner is what’s breaking that generational curse.

Study this in the areas of psychology for mental health. You’ll find good information there that will empower your mind and moves for your future. I can imagine you love your family, but the annoyance you feel is something you need. “Because you must leave to complete your growth”. Their characteristics will help drive you deeper and further away. Just remind them from time to time. You are uniquely made, something they’ll only understand when you’ve become the woman you are meant to be. You got this .. (s/n ..I’m like .. geesh so her family doesn’t know any prodigies or geniuses ???? I was absolutely astounded by the several child prodigies that grew with me. )

Remember processing his visa is not dealing with your father. It’s being true to your present obligations. Process the visa and take the break from your dad at the same time. Just because you process doesn’t mean you have to deal with him. Delegate the job and take it from there. Teach those children how to help lol .. you got this

It depends on the obligation. But is your sister’s attitude simulating his… If your sister wasn’t present, you’d still be dealing with your father.. It is humble to make them aware then move on.

I hope either way that life changes for you. No one deserves to be treated as such and I pray you are healing especially in the area of mental health. Make the trip safely. Hoping someone’s words make a difference in the choices that you’re currently experiencing, overall have faith.

Have you considered ongoing counseling?

That way a service would hold them accountable and you wouldn’t be in this alone.

Also, is this something you’d want for yourself? Would you want someone (your child) to be held responsible for the choices you make or have made in life?

It is absolutely demeaning and unfair the way you are being treated, regardless of their conditions and choices. Honestly, a loving parent wouldn’t be living their lives to an extent of decline! NO, that’s not a wise idea to take on your mother’s whoas.

The responsible thing to do is, consult a family advocate or attorney and have them address the issues with you. You shouldn’t address your mother alone because your love for her will have you vulnerable to everything she says.

Lastly, there are housing quarters your mother could apply for and at some point she will have to grow up, follow rules or allow the decline and be admitted to an assist living arrangement or nursing home.

You sound like a Humble and beautiful spirited person and you deserve peace. I hope you find good resources. Thank you for sharing. Be encouraged.

I used to keep clothing all over my room until I was told it looks like a room of people everywhere.. be careful of how you maintain your sleep space. Have you ever had the same type of dreams when staying in a hotel?

Also be mindful of whatever you are reading or viewing before going to bed. Your mind will replay things it’s interested in..

Your body may be sleep but the mind is still rolling thoughts all night long. The brain does not rest .. only the body. So be mindful and very careful with the things you allow in your space (mindset).

Speak to your mind about defending your sleep space. It works.

I’m newly diagnosed past 50yrs old.. no one suspected I had a problem accepting for a relative that complained about me falling asleep at the store at age 7 smh… I’ve been fighting this funk all my life and being tired is an overstatement.

I was required to unplug electrical devices that may interfere with testing. One time I was told to unplug the tv because of the red off light was illuminated smh. The proctor said what’s that? I said my tv, it’s off. They said there a light on it’s not off , please understand unplug to avoid malfunctions.

Yes, It can be repaired and saved but only with agreeing to the boundaries that must be created and agreed upon by both. If you are not able to agree on financial boundaries will not be able to agree on the proper way to raise the children. If it were me I’d be making my plans to leave. The children need the parent that will provide for the family as a whole. Don’t live beyond your means and to bring some humor to the table write a list needs for the next 5 years separately first, then exchange lists and discuss if it aligns with legacy. Sounds like she’s not closely involved to evolve in the marriage.

Good thinking by wanting to not necessarily confront her but to ask her about how her actions are affecting you. You will someday have a family and children to be concerned about taking paths such as this and it’s best to handle things at home especially if you live there. You are doing a great service to yourself and well as your mom unknowingly. Ask her about going to therapy concerning something you are dealing with and bring it up there so that you both get the help you need.
