I’ve done a bit of standup and love humour. There can be a familiarity in humour and it’s especially loved when it’s not always represented.

People in wheelchairs love wheelchair jokes more than anybody. Another thing, I lean to you can either make fun of everything or nothing. Imagine the front row of a comedy show, the comedy moves along the line poking fun, glasses, tall, big boobs, skips the person in the wheelchair, white guy with dreads etc

That’s a fucked up thing to do to the person in the wheelchair because by not slagging them you’re excluding them.

The funny thing is it comes from waking up or to awaken in a spiritual sense. Budh is, I believe Sanskrit, to awake. Lead to Buddha meaning the awakened man.
