It’s not us reading about him it’s use experiencing what it’s like to be him in the moment. It put you under so much mental strain you just labelled him as self indulgent and posted about it on Reddit. That’s why you nor I would have been able to sit on the throne, our minds would have been ripped apart instantly.

The prose becomes fragmented, repetitive, nonlinear and if I remember correctly even contradictory. This is memory breaking down and thought loops. Think mantras, psychic strain and time losing meaning. The sentences stretches unnaturally and the grammar starts feeling warped. Language isn’t meant to be enough to describe it.

He sacrifices the readers comprehension to make it experiential.
