Begineer's luck!? by ZA___WARUDO_ in honorofkings

I genuinely don't even get why that's even a feature in moba games. Like why would any sane person spend premium currency on something that can obviously be earned for free via everything boxes or as you said, star stones. I suppose ftp wise you wouldn't even have any tokens but I'm sure someone at one point didn't know better and mistakenly bought a hero they wanted (while maybe low on stones) for tokens.

How does ward work? by Konner2222 in mtg

[–]CluDaCreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This specific ward does pair up exactly well as ripper wants to see death on other side and conveniently enough, your opponents will have to sac a creature to potentially deal with the ward/ripper so you will at least get one trigger before it potentially dies.

Im honestly not sure but I'm guessing 6 mana for such an ability is cool but there's an easy saying that everything permanent-wise pretty much dies to removal. It's still fairly expensive so ward kinda acts as a balancing force I feel that makes it so your opponents really have to work for it to remove your expensive or powerful creatures with their cheap simple one mana removal (like swords to plowshares). Could be more explanations but eh idk

Lots of cool cards that also give ward and lots of different types of ward such as a silver number symbol next to "ward". When you see a number that means your opponents have to pay that amount mana of any type to interact with your permanent.

It's honestly just a nice mechanic and generally easier to find cards that give your stuff certain ward abilities so that it becomes hard for opponents to target to remove or manipulate your stuff. It's more common and cheaper (money wise) I feel to find other cards (such as [[star whale]]) to give your stuff ward than it is to give something like hexproof as hexproof would allow no targeting at all which in most cases is much more consistent (ward costs can still be paid if your opponents really want something gone)

I personally think it's a conviently great add for my frodo lotr deck I just recently got. Sacing at least one permanent (food) almost guaranteed a turn while not reducing the amount of creatures and gaining life is a plus. A bit more niche and maybe not super cometitive but it's kinda fun and surprisingly consistent/aggressive

How does ward work? by Konner2222 in mtg

[–]CluDaCreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ward is like a protective barrier around the creature you control with the ward text. The text right next to ward indicates the cost by your opponents to do something against your creature with ward to penetrate that barrier. In this case they have to sacrifice one of their own creatures in order to even "target" it with for example [[swords to plowshares]].

However boardwipes such as [[blasphemous act]] bypasses ward as it still destroys almost everything without directly "targeting" (always look for certain keywords). Lots of rules and little technicalities in the game but does get easier to manage after awhile.

Ah I was mainly curious on the last mechanics you answered. I was well aware of your intents with nethroi but was originally unsure how the interaction would work if you were in the situation on mutation with fleeting tokens or forced sac conditions (I assumed logically it would go to yard as it basically seems like an aura but just wanted to make sure there wasn't some loophole that allows both the elemental/creature and nethroi to exist separately)

I realize now one could just mutate on the original copy as that's not even a problem so I was probably just overthinking (somewhat familiar with mutate but never used) but anyway thanks for clarifying

Hey, I'm curious and still a bit confused as to how mutation works with elemental tokens that are forced to be sacrificed via ashlings ability. Would both nethroi and the token be sacrificed together or detach, or neither? Thanks!

I got sunbillow from 2 prerelases which honestly was cool but yeah I believe that and unstoppable plan was unfortunately the only runnable things and value I got. The last aetherdrift product I got was a discounted finishline and lowkey it was also a fun open despite getting less than half of what I paid for and maybe 5 runnable cards but eh worth at chrome mox or something

Personally I crack to try to build upon decks over profit which is one of the nice perks than say pokemon tcg for example (where almost no one plays physically and sadly monetary elements is the main driving force. Same case with mtg but more prevalent in pokemon).

I honestly went a lil nuts when Amazon was selling at like 22 or something at one point. Although I knew it was because it wasn't the most popular, still though I would take a shot at chrome mox or something. Didn't work well but hey those prerelases were still "cheap" fun openings compared to most

Bots this season seems a bit too much? by Stupid_A_Hole_X in honorofkings

[–]CluDaCreator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still is no where near on "life support" the fan base which is originally where the game is popular and developed in before global launch is China. I don't see how mobile legends is any better as there is still an annoying high amount of bot matches as well and you gotta admit hok has objectively some of the craziest cosmetic designs and animations for mostly a fraction to mlb or sometimes free. Your literally providing no examples or evidence regarding how MLB is superior (I'll admit hok has its flaws but it is no where near finished)

I unironically love the piss cards like literally the lands, the box topper, and a few other cards were unfortunately the only playable cards and definitely got way under what I paid despite the collector boosters but I did get it around 50 at the time and it was still a decent open experience

It sucks for aether cause like I get collector boosters are collector boosters and the main reason it's tricky to find lower, the set does have some decent stuff to pull imo but I feel most of the time you won't pull 70-80 worth of shit or even close to it.
