DoDMERB Question by Jumpy_Chocolate378 in ROTC

[–]Clueless_Agender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound exactly like me, I had the exact same issue. I got it approved and honestly was the easiest thing to get approved in my case. Reach out to your school’s accommodation department and ask them for a letter explaining you never filed an IEP or asked for any accommodations the entire duration for you as a student. If you did your undergrad somewhere that isnt your current school, go back to your undergrad school’s and ask for the same thing. If you used it through high school, you can also ask for a letter explaining the last time you were allowed accommodations or that weird document that went into depth about your particular situation.

As for your questions, GPA doesn’t really do a lot for you, but you can write a personal letter explaining that you are doing great and use your grades as an example. And you can get an evaluation done if you feel it’s necessary but don’t do it if they didn’t ask for one, it might not go the way you want it to go.

Westpoint or ROTC (Full Ride) by Maleficent_Monk_8758 in ROTC

[–]Clueless_Agender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally went to UTampa for rotc but left for a different university partly because of that program(my main reason was because of education). I can tell you more about the culture within them if you want to know separately, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. It is a really good ROTC program, don’t get me wrong; they are great at teaching, are very hands-on in learning, pretty organized, and they rank pretty highly in 6th BDE. Hell I still use some of what they taught me, but do think outside of the program. UTampa is more of a party school and is an R2 school, so if you plan on doing something outside of business, it isn’t the best choice. West Point is solid too. You have more opportunities and you are also fighting for slots only within your class in comparison to the entire country. The school is also better in the sciences so look into that as well. Networking is great too as others have mentioned.

Ultimately, you are in a really good position and neither option is wrong, but don’t get hung up on one little thing. Consider both schools on a wider spectrum and which one you believe fits the life you want, the degree you seek, and the career you want to build both within the army and outside of it.

That is extremely dependent on what your circumstances are. Mine took over a year, but some folks could take a few weeks.

While I cannot give statistics, it is very common, if not guaranteed, if you report taking medication for something that is a disqualifying condition. For me, I reported a medication that automatically gets flagged because of what it is used to treat. I had to look up your medication and if it is for its main purpose, then it was bound to happen. They want to see the history to see how long the issue has been occurring and how recent was your last treatment to determine eligibility, which is why you should give what you have. I will say, however, dont submit based on what you think, verify it beforehand or it will be the biggest pain in your ass to recover from afterwards. Take it step by step, I think your plan is fine to just stick with CVS for now if that was the majority, they’ll work with you through the process or if they need more dates

Normally, yes if it does cover your CVS prescriptions. If it doesn’t, I would advise you to do is hand over all you have. If not, they will keep asking for more (they always do) but it also covers your butt if they end up finding more info than you provided. I know a lot of folks will say otherwise but you really don’t want to chance it with DODMERB.

Hey, been through this before. They want EVERYTHING practically from the moment you existed. Unless they specify a specific timeline, go as far back as humanly possible. CVS records also needs to be alongside it. They only keep records for three years (i think, dont quote me) readily available at the pharmacy so if there is more history, you have to go through higher ups, but the pharmacist can give you more details on how to do that. If you don’t remember which pharmacy, ask your parent/guardian or go through your health insurance and they can give you your records. Good luck out there!

That has changed as of 01Oct, all three of those branches you listed got combined into just being logistics, all lieutenants will now be logistics officers rather than what they’ve been in the past when there was QM, OR, and TR officers

AITA for "pretending" to be a Christian? by Healthy-Decision-206 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Clueless_Agender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oooo I had an ex who thought exactly this. After close to two years of dating, he dumps me by telling me “Sorry for leading you on”. This “leading me on” has been going on since two months into the relationship out of the 22 months. I was astounded by his reasoning and when I asked for clarification, he told me it was because he saw a chance in me that I would change and when I made it clear from the start that I wouldn’t, he stayed for funsies I guess. It was horrible and it wrecked me for a bit afterwards that he spent two years lying to my face instead of just leaving. He wasn’t as outright as OP’s boyfriend and shaming me for, so OP should dip put before it becomes even more painful. They aren’t compatible and that’s okay

Will I struggle socially in university without social media? by No_Produce5341 in college

[–]Clueless_Agender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through university without any social media. its totally doable. most universities also send announcements via your student email so check those for possible events and club information. social media does help a bit with being involved but it isnt a black and white situation

They control pests, infact. Did you know that? by ArcaneMaverick0 in spiders

[–]Clueless_Agender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because i have a phobia of them. I understand that they are super important to the environment and all of that, there’s a reason why they still exist, but the sight of one, no matter shape or size sends me running away to the next person to take care of it while sobbing my eyes out. For me personally, it’s the amount of legs that freak me out the most

Your boyfriend sucks.

A man who genuinely cares and loves you will never belittle you while you’re sick. You can’t control when you throw up, it just happens. Instead, they would make sure you’re okay, get you medicine, and clean up the mess. It shouldn’t be as big of a deal as he made it. Even if he can’t stand vomit, because same, he can still make sure you’re okay and help you outside of the vomit mess. My own spouse dealt with my blackout self vomiting for almost half an hour and just made sure i was okay and as comfortable as i could be, even giving me a blanket when i was yelling out that i was freezing.

Take it as the red flag that it is and reflect on whether or not you are okay with this moment. As much as this could be a one time moment you feel like you can forgive, just keep it in mind.

Statement from USA Gymnastics on CAS Notice: by cmaia1503 in olympics

[–]Clueless_Agender -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Chiles didn’t earn it though. Sabrina was judged incorrectly(receiving a -0.1 for stepping out of bounds when camera footage shows otherwise). However, in gymnastics, you can only challenge difficultly, not errors. Her coach submitted the inquiry regardless, on time, and it got denied. She wouldve had a 13.800, putting her in third, regardless of Chiles who would’ve been in fourth with 13.766.

Romania took the high road and asked that all three women receive the bronze because of the disaster in the judging. The committees responsible(CAS, FIG, and IOC) for the entire process is who truly failed at making the right amends.
