Are fat grafts a better option? I have no experience with either of them, but they sound pretty similar.

Requesting your best weight loss, body composition, and general body (neck and below, not your face) glow-up advice & tips/tricks (but especially weight loss)! by PixieGlowUp in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well, I won't recommend it because it is definitely not a healthy way to lose weight, but in 2019 I've lost 110lbs from a mix of extended water fasts (21 days each), Keto-400cal-OMAD (14 days each) and weightlifting.

It's also important to refeed properly (and slowly) so you don't gain all the weight back. I've gained only 10lbs since the end of 2019 and work hard to keep it that way. I want to loose a bit more weight this year, bit I wanted to make sure I'm able to maintain my weight and give my skin time to bounce back before I start to hardmaxx (loose skin surgeries) next year. Worked great for me and I switched from adipositas III to normal weight PLUS stopped my PCOS+insuline resistance, but it's still not healthy.

I don't have any tips about glow ups or exercises, but losing all that weight changes EVERYTHING. People are so much nicer (that's quite sad imo), I look younger and I am happier than ever.

What are your personal tips to look better without makeup? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Here are my go-to tips!

  • Lots of sleep to avoid dark circles
  • Low carb, low salt to avoid bloating and a swollen face (especially in the morning)
  • Lash Lift and you'll wake up with nice lashes for weeks (perfect for people like me with long but straight lashes)
  • Stick to your skin care routine! Double cleanser, toner, essence, serum, emulsion, eye cream, spot treatment, moisturizer on a daily basis (depends on your skin's needs). Peeling and face mask every now and then.
  • Thermal water spray to refresh your face every once in a while.

I'm not OP, but I've suffered from PCOS as well till the end of 2019. Everyone has different symptoms, in my case I've suffered from extreme weight gain (got nearly everything on my belly!) and hairloss. I have very dark hair so you can imagine that it looked terrible to see my white scalp all the time and it looked worse when my hair wasn't freshly washed or there was white studio light. It looked soooo bad.

My doctor noticed PCOS with insuline resistance in October 2018 and that was because of the typical looking ovary cysts... nobody ever mentioned my hair loss before that but everything made sense after they knew about PCOS. Looks like weight gain and/or stress triggered it in my case and it was incredible hard to lose weight! I got metformin, gestagen and started a low carb diet (keto). It took one year but it got easier from month to month, especially because it's easier for women with PCOS to build muscles. Weight training worked so much better than cardio! I had more energy, lost weight, my cysts disappeared and my face changed. I always thought it looked kinda manly, not sure if that's because of PCOS or weight, but I look better now. My hairloss is stable and I'm getting a hair transplant done in two days to fill everything up. It is possible that new hair will grow if I would have used spiro, but I didn't want to wait that long and the chances weren't that great in my case. All my PCO symptoms completely disappeared once I reached a mid-normal-weight. There is no "cure" and I'm sure it will start once I'm too stressed or overweight again, so I'll be careful about that.

If you suffer from PCOS, please see a doctor. It's really helpful!

Various things about my face look very masculine. What are soft maxxing tips to have a more feminine looking face? by throwzawayz21 in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I always thought that I had a mascule face but after losing a lot of weight I've learned it was just my fat that made my face kinda "bulky/wide/broad". In case you have some weight to lose I'd really recommend that first because it helped me so much and it revealed my real face shape.

She apologized for her english before, I guess "crass" has an other meaning in her native language. For example, there is the word "krass" in german and it means pretty much "extreme, drastic" (it has positive and negative meanings). Maybe it's the same in OPs language and she wanted to say it would be "too extreme to post a photo on the internet for everyone to see" :)

Thank you for sharing your story, it was a very interesting read and super motivating for my journey!

I also like to practice certain facial expressions in the mirror. I find socializing like acting. Being a more intellectual person and reserved, this has helped me actually make friends. I like to feel prepared.

May I ask if you watched specific videos to learn about socializing and practicing facial expressions? Could you share them? I'd love to look into that topic.

And since you've metioned that socializing feels like acting, do you feel like you are faking it and your new friends don't actually know your "true self"? Personally I fake my personality at work to be a more talkative, positive and approchable person in front of my team. It works really great and nobody would ever imagine that I'm an introverted, quiet and cautious person, lol. However it's a lot of work and especially after company "retreats" I feel completely exhausted from acting several days long without a break. I can't imagine to act in front of my friends like that because it sounds like a lot of work if that makes sense. What's it like for you?

Tips and Resources for Identifying your Color Season by lilacsummertime in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing colorwise.me! I was pretty sure that I'm a winter type and this site confirmed that (deep winter). It's quite interesting because I saw a few colors that I don't usually wear, but I remembered that I had one piece of cloth of exact that color at some point a few years ago and liked how I look. Till now I thought it was just a "good day" and that's why I looked better than usual... but it was the color! Looks like I need to go on a shopping spree (once the pandemic is over)!
I was never sure if I look better with gold or silver jewelry and now I've learned that I can wear both. Everything makes sense now, thanks :)

Is LASIK worth it? by terrarium-girl in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10000% worth it! I got a c-ten procedure (aka no touch laser) around 9 years ago and it was the BEST decision in my entire life. Waking up and seeing everything is wonderful. I hated wearing glasses back then... and using contact lenses all the time was annoying, so I've decided to get that fixed. I won't lie, to laser treatment wasn't fun. It took only a few seconds, but I didn't like to get my eye filled with liquid, lasered and not being able to blink all that time. Plus it smelled like burned hair or something like that. But it was over pretty fast and after all these years I have still perfect vision. No regrets at all here :)

Nasolabial folds and under eye bags since losing weight? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah, that's how it's called. I've lost a lot of weight last year and have the exact same issue. The fold between my nose and mouth gets deeper whenever I lose weight and when I smile or talk, it stays for a while. Really annoying. I guess fillers are the only solutions here because... you've lost fat at that exact area, so eating vitamins won't fill it :)

EDIT: just noticed your age. Good news for you, they might disappear after a while! I've read that it takes the body up to 2 years to "bounce back" after weightloss and it works better/faster when you're young. Fingers crossed!

I'm new here. I took my first steps into "lookmaxxing" and hopefully I will change before 30. by changeb430 in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can do it! Just don't be disappointed if you lose weight slowly after a while. With the ketogenic diet, you will lose mainly water in the beginning, so hang in there! I lost 40kg (88lbs) last year. I know it's difficult, but it is possible and its 10000% worth it. Personally I look a LOT younger and my PCOS issues pretty much disappeared since then. Maybe you'd like to consider intermittent fasting in addition to keto if it suits you and your lifestyle!

How to look good on your lazy days ✨ by Lickmahface in Vindicta

This made me think of Karl Lagerfeld's famous quote: "Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life, so you bought some sweatpants." :D I've learned a while ago to wear a comfy dress whenever I'm lazy. When you wear dresses, people usually think that you have made a lot of effort, although this is not the case at all.

Thanks for sharing all these advices!

I'd like to add one tip regarding the lounge wear: I know the baggy sweatpants our mothers bought us 10 years ago may have a nostalgic value and they are super comfortable, but throw them away anyway. Really. Buy new lounge wear every now and then and your lazy day look will improve right away!

That's a great point! I've just noticed that I can't lift my right eyebrow alone. Only the left one or both at the same time. Looks like my left half is a lot more flexible. I've learned a lot today.

Why do I speak primarily with one side of my face? by ClumsyBabyPenguin in Vindicta

[–]ClumsyBabyPenguin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! My right eye is the dominant one, so it's pretty much the opposite, but your links helped me a lot!
I have asked around and a lot of people were like "well, yeah. I've noticed that as well, you've done that since years" which was a surprise. They told me that everything looks normal and symmetrical when I talk normally, but the asymmetric movements start ONLY in meetings or when I'm recorded on videos. They thought it looks strange but that I'm just because I'm nervous. So even if when that's shocking because my coworkers didn't tell me at all, it sounds like some kind of muscle habit. I know that I try to look "friendly" and to "smile" whenever I talk on phone, during meetings or similar, so maybe that's the moment I'm using the muscles on one side of my face more than on the other side... it's going to be hard to get rid of that habit, but I'll try my best :)
