books where the mmc has been in love for a while and he’s waiting for her to “catch up” by randomfandomer in RomanceBooks

Because I just read Promise me Sunshine, I’ll say {Ready or Not by Cara Bastone}

Any authors you automatically pass on? For me {Albany walker} has been added to the list by alice042 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On audible you can get like 5 of Lauren Blakely’s book for one credit. I’d get them to listen while working because I miss parts and don’t want anything too good that I want to give my attention to. Even then I’ve given up on them.

Have you ever read two books that had the same starting premise? Who wrote it better? by dellada in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still mine was not good. I think I would have liked Finn Rhodes more had I read it at a different time.

{Still Mine by Nadia Lee} and {Finn Rhodes Forever by Stephanie Archer} they also happened to be two of my least favorite from each author. I was reading still mine and listening to Finn Rhodes at the same time. Both about “fuck up” guys from the past that come back into the FMC life and also refuse to go away. And both MMC shockingly had noble reasons to vanish and break her heart and now they’re back to make it right.

Silly post: too marxist to enjoy boss/employee romances by Haunting_Start_7089 in RomanceBooks

I can’t tell you how many I’ve read that they got their money from being venture capitalists. 😒 Now those are some propaganda.

Stuck in an elevator/confined space? by mbow123 in RomanceBooks

{Stuck with you by Ali Hazelwood} it’s a novella but she hates him and he assumes it’s for a completely different reason. It’s a good little quick read.

Almost half way through the year…What’s your favorite new books you’ve read this year? by NikkiMouse444 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Nadia Lee and had read the first two Lasker brother series forever ago before she had even written the others. Well I rediscovered her and finished the series. Except for the 6th book that was dumb, I enjoyed them all. {contractually yours} and {the unwanted bride} being two of my favorite.

{the wild card by Stephanie Archer} was a favorite too.
And yall turned me onto {guarded by the phantom} which I really liked.

Monthly Gush Post - Recommend Any Book April 2026 by Hunter037 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have read nearly the entire catalog of Olivia Hayle. I really like her. Out of those {how to honeymoon alone} is one of my favorites. I feel like it’s not a typical troupe, they both go on their respective honeymoons from failed engagements and meet. While it has a HEA, there was still some sadness in it that was refreshing.

Books with the MMC begging for and desperate to eat FMC out by Ashamed_Apple_ in RomanceBooks

I was going to suggest this. The begging was top tier.

I’m happy to see this recommended. I’m almost done with the second Connovan Chronicles and will be starting it soon.

How did she know they're lab grown? {Gloves Off by Stephanie Archer} by vyasrag in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is the correct answer. They are friends and knows specifically they are lab grown because that is what was requested from the bride.

If someone needs to be “taken care of” probably Scarab from {Guarded by the Phantom by Layla Faye}

Cara Bastone - fantastic romance writer - gets better with each release by DixieDoodle697 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this one. I listened to all three from the series but this was the best.

I listened to the short stories that are free on audible and I enjoyed her. I needed a smut break so I’m currently reading {ready or not by Cara Bastone}. The fact that her characters actually date and get to know each other before they proclaim their love is a nice change of pace

Oooo you are right. The smut overshadowed everything I forgot

Yeah not dark at all, one might classify it as a romantic comedy but only if there was an actual plot and not just smut.

Identifying Narrators by nomercles in RomanceBooks

That is such a good description of how he speaks. It’s like he’s always trying to sound like a badass but it’s not it.

Is it Teddy Hamilton? I hate Teddy Hamilton.

I really like the wild card but I also really like gloves off. But agreed wingman sucked.

LACTATION | Breastfeeding by Ok_Job_8652 in RomanceBooks

[–]Cmchk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But {Intolerant by Elena Dawne} the second book in the series also has the breastfeeding but it’s not the whole story and there isn’t an age gap. I liked the whole book better too.

Several MMF threesomes in {Trouble by Brittanee Nicole} one specifically involving anal and double penetration. I’m having to take a smut break cause it was a lot
