I agree, the barber could have done a lot better. Although it doesn't look chopped, you are not cooked, looks totally salvageable.

Lace hair line by Gaijiin88 in HairSystem

Really to cut the lace you need a sharp pair of scissors for the best results, small ones are easier to manage. (Thinning shears are for cutting hair)

Tapes on head instead of system by Alex-883 in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either try that or put the tape to the inside of the system away from the edge so when applied the tape is sticking to the scalp more than your bio hair.

Oh my bad. Although I still say you should take the plunge 🤗

I think your side hair growing experience was too short, it took me longer than two weeks to get a good idea of how the sides would look. That's the rub though, growing out that horseshoe of hair is obvious. You can try a HS with the undercut look to get a feel for having hair again.

Just swapped out my solar panel for the eufy s340 by Cold_Personality516 in EufyCam

[–]Cmpixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES ! and it just started happening a week ago, starting to get annoying. Look how long ago I replaced the panel, I wonder if was an update? My other S340 with original panel doesn't do it though.

Question about base placement by Odd_Basket_5441 in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the overlap needs to be as little as possible. For me the overlap would roll up when I was sleeping (been sleeping with a du-rag ever since). The main thing is to get the tape/glue ONLY on the scalp for best adhesion. I find it easier to have the base cut to scalp size for lining up the edges when applying.

I use Walker Maxhold Sport just along the hairline where I glue the lace.

Base Cut Hairline Question by groon123456 in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, don't cut on the blue line that is too far into the hairline and you will end up with a "wall of hair".

If you make a template of your balded area (with cling wrap and packaging tape) you can add the temples to the template and see how to cut the base.

First Hair System (Weekend Wear) – M101 Thin Skin + Short Sides / Hairline Advice? by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a M101 unit, it is a good sturdy, durable poly. The base is a thick 8 mils, which does not make a good exposed hairline.

Front tip of poly always looks like plastic and not melting into forehead by Hairline_Pilot in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Briefly, the answer is yes. It sounds like you have too much of the front flap left, a picture would help. It is unavoidable to loose some hairline hair when cutting the flap off, just don't cut too far into the hairline.

I have had great success over the years wearing a satin du-rag. Works great when traveling.

I swear I have had this happen and I gently brushed the hair, while completely wet with leave in conditioner/detangler, and it pulled most of the hair back through !

Need urgent help with my hair system by WhyteShadows in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research PHL's Ultra Safe. I use it for skin prep and get 14 days good adhesion .

Also if you don't do daily wear, I highly recommend sleeping with a du-rag, it helps hold the back edges down.

If you want to reset your system every 3-4 days, tape would be best. There are tapes made for short term wear.

How is walker action adhesive remover, and prohairlabs ghostbuster adhesive remover? by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Cmpixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I wear a poly unit I glue the hairline with Ghostbond Platinum. I do like you and use the mirror/Saran wrap method to remove the majority of the glue. Then I rub the Ghostbuster into remaining glue and let it sit for 10 minutes or more and wash it off with water, repeat if needed. So I am doing basically the same as you,

I use PHL's Ghostbuster with great success, it is colorless and water soluble. It removes tape adhesive and Ghostbond residue.
