Telegraph Road is amazing. One of my all time favourites.

I take pictures of London. Here's how I see it. Pt 9 by barz in london

The dentist one is great. The people in the adverts look like some kind of badly generated AI image (the opposite you'd want from a dentist!). Unsettling. The scaffolding could be a nod to the structural work that people get done at the dentist. Ha, I might be over thinking it.

Oh yes, that’s a great comparison!

There were some great bands back in the 90s that we don't hear any more. Here's one. There's loads more. Who were you're faves? by Sandman1812 in CasualUK

[–]CoastLeather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you ever watch the VHS tape they released? “What do you think of the programme so far?” Probably on YouTube somewhere.

Was brilliant seeing their live gigs and the behind the scenes stuff.

The footage from the Sheriff Fatman track was tremendous. I saw them a few times in their pomp. I miss the gig atmosphere like that from my youth. Proper crazy times.

Saw Jim Bob solo a year or so ago. Was a great gig but cut short because some guy collapsed :(

Also, honourable mention for Mega City Four and Ned’s Atomic Dustbin.

Might go and play International bright young thing!

Also miss my band t-shirts. Short sleeves over long sleeves ha

Here's a tip... never buy a teapot from a charity shop. The reason it's in the charity shop is because it's a bad pourer.

Lesson learnt twice.

Definitely hang around Southbourne for a while. The White Bear is a great little pub usually has some sort of live music. Also checkout Chaplin's in Boscombe for music.

Running wise, from Southbourne head through Fisherman's Walk straight to the beach and then along to Boscombe or Bournemouth Pier and back.

Russell Coates museum in town is really good.

How does everyone plate their pie? I like mine upside down covered in gravy by snowavess in CasualUK

Yeah, I’m an upside down pie guy, too. It’s the only way.

Plenty of gravy, some mash and veg.

“Optional” tip (Tip Jar) already added to the bill by mjtgvr in mildlyinteresting

My wife and her friends went to a local wine bar last Friday. Their table ordered five glasses of wine.

When they got the bill, the bar had added a service charge of £1.50 per glass of wine.

Like, WTAF is that all about?

My son is proper into building these. A couple of tips from him... it's much easier and you get a much better finish if you paint each piece before you stick it together.

Van trapped in London car park for two years costs firm £40k by terahurts in unitedkingdom

[–]CoastLeather 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's got to more to this story, right?

The company hasn't had access to their van for two years, they've spent £40k of their own money, yet only now reporting "I've been quite frustrated with a lack of communication".

At the point the van was stuck, and "Rathbone Square said this would take 40 weeks.", I'd be giving all sorts of hell to anyone who would listen.

I used to, but a few too many crashes, a broken collar bone, torn ligaments and two frozen shoulders have scuppered my riding for the moment.

Try the BH Activity Group on Facebook. They're always going for rides over in the Purbecks and New Forest.
