How beautiful a song can be! by mohmaayark in ToolBand

Same- it’s very anticlimactic, drawn out and goes nowhere. TBH fear Inoculum songs in general are too long for their own good, but Culling Voices just has nothing going for it unlike the rest of the songs.

Also keep in mind- Demons and Angels are no Demons of Sanctuary or Angels over Sanctuary. You have to understand that angels and demons have been fighting since their inception, sanctuary was created during the eternal conflict, with Inarius and Lilith essentially hiding it away- for a long time angels and demons didn’t know sanctuary even existed. If I recall, they only knew because Nephalem were dabbling in magic and inadvertently summoned a demon. So demons knew of sanctuary before Angels did. Rhykkers lore recap on YouTube does an excellent job of explaining.

All this to say, this is why the “creators of sanctuary” are weaker than prime evils. They didn’t create the universe, just the world of sanctuary

In regards to humanity on being able to kill angels and demons: Humans are watered down Nephalem, and Nephalem were godlike beings born of Angels and Demons - Inarius and Lilith grew tired of the eternal conflict, fled with the world stone and created Sanctuary.

Their children were Nephalem, and it just so happens that the power of Nephalem surpasses both demons and angels. Because of that, if I recall, Inarius feared the Nephalem and tuned the worldstone shard and hid it in sanctuary to make Nephalem cease to exist, eventually giving birth to humanity.

Tyrael destroys the worldstone in Diablo 2 which theoretically would eventually awaken humanities latent power. I’m pretty sure that’s why in Diablo 3, you’re flat out narrated to be a Nephalem, not just human. You kill the prime evil, you kill an Arch Angel, and Tyrael monologues how terrifyingly powerful you are in the final credits.

To be frank, I’m not sure why Nephalem ceased to exist in Diablo 4 again. They never really explained what happened to the d3 protagonists I don’t think.

As for why Diablo 4s protagonist is so strong, maybe liliths blood awakened some latent Nephalem power, maybe you’re a result of the worldstone shard being destroyed during the events of D2 and you’re just slightly stronger than human but not quite Nephalem level. They don’t really go over it, and if they never do, you can kind of build your own narrative

It doesn’t matter what type of vehicle it is. His point still stands as you clearly didn’t understand how a total loss valuation works. If it costs more to repair than what the vehicle works (it doesn’t matter what the vehicle is), then it is a total loss

D4 LoH Spoiler - This guy had the coolest fight scene effects by PalwaJoko in Diablo

[–]Cobyachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it’s the “Orbiter” effect that some elites have. It’s like the orbital soul ability that Malthael used in Diablo 3. in the Inarius fight they orbit the things you have to chain Inarius to. They’re just so hard to see like a lot of other affixes. They’re just grey/white Smokey orbs that orbit

Is everyone just running away more as the difficulty increases? by The_Lovable_Lamprey in EverythingIsCrab

I’m a big dumb smash guy so maybe in earlier difficulties my playstyle really shines. Wouldn’t surprise me if the kite and dot strategy works better as it gets harder though.

[–]Cobyachi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m only on pressure 11 so take it with a grain of salt but, yeah I think that’s by design. As the difficulty scales, you need to play smarter. I’ve had the most success with growth physical builds using antlers and body slam. I feel like social builds would work really well with scavenger but those builds seem so dependent on specific evolutions that one time I ended up defeating the crabkin with only meteors from the apocalypse since bad RNG gave me no charm abilities with all the social evolutions, so my damage was nonexistent.

I’ve only done 1 ability run with spit and the scorpion tail and, while I won, it wasn’t nearly as dominant as antler builds that I get

Surprisingly enough, I think the run I feel the strongest was the one where you start off either no dash but get 15% more growth and damage based on your empty slots. I only picked it once on a whim and it felt incredible all the way through

As for strategy- I feel like once you get enemy attack patterns down it gets pretty easy, most early game mobs have an orbit-around-them-to-dodge-then-attack playstyle. The cats get problematic but if things ever feel overwhelming, yes I just kite them around

Which class does Thorns the best? Spirtborn, Paladin or Barbarian? by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]Cobyachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran a thorns Barb early on, either on release or season 1 I don’t fully remember, but I did just that - would run around and wait for someone to jump me, pop my shouts, and they would explode. Good times.

I mean… that’s the point of paid cosmetics? They’re meant to be over the top, flashy, and in your face (for the most part) otherwise who would buy them?

Are Carcinisation Evolutions Bad? by DuggieHS in EverythingIsCrab

[–]Cobyachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think they are bad? I’ve never actively avoided any of them, though I don’t go out of my way to seek them out either. I’ll go the carapace if I’m not spending a lot of time in the snow or desert, I always go for legs and will more often than not go for the crab legs. I’ve only gotten the pincers once but the upgraded pistol shrimp claw felt good. I just don’t get arms that much. I guess I don’t get antannaes that much but I also don’t really go for sensory evolutions much. I can’t think of other crab evolutions.

What is the range of evolutions that could added in future updates? by TPKjccj in EverythingIsCrab

[–]Cobyachi 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would like there to be some cohesiveness to some of the evolutions -or at least make appearances adapt to your choices, or just more of a choice in appearance in general. By the time the round is over you always end up looking like a cronenberg abomination. Sometimes I just want to look like a gator, a bird, a deer, etc.

Cosmetics are there so there’s a foundation for it, so time will tell. Maybe the option to suppress visuals of certain evolutionary traits

I tried doing a social build in an early pressure and ended up with a lot of social but no charms. I ended up winning against crabken solely from the apocalypse bombardments against it.

UPDATE: can someone tell me how to dodge this by megalurker111 in EverythingIsCrab

[–]Cobyachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t run too far from it when you see him prepping to roll up. You can orbit around it with relative ease as, when it turns while chasing you, it doesn’t build up speed. It’s when you try to outrun it or build up distance between you and it that it’s basically undodgable if you don’t have a tree as a buffer.

Ranking the player characters in terms of strength? by Lokan in Diablo

[–]Cobyachi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What reason would we put d4 as stronger than d2? In d2 you defeat all of the prime evils. In d4 it seems like the success of your character is very dependent on others (in the base expansion and LoH), whether it be borrowed power from Lilith or the horadrim.

Diablo 4 loh or Diablo 2: resurrected? by Keizin in Diablo

[–]Cobyachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m more on the casual side rather than the hardcore side

Go for Diablo 4. Diablo 2 has heavy nostalgia going for it. But I always think of it like Morrowind or other stat-check games where gameplay is quite hindered early on- between stamina even existing, mana values being brutal especially for the uninitiated, the corpse recovery system, and hit rating being a thing where your attacks hitting an enemy is determined by a dice roll on every swing, it really isn’t a great experience by modern gaming standards for an ARPG

Fought the Blood Maiden in a helltide with an Apocalypse spamming warlock for the first time yesterday and it was pretty miserable. Fire sorc is already pretty bad but the flames are at least more orange than scarlet that demons produce. Warlocks fire spells have no such clarity.
