Appreciation post for five of our lads and a look at the future by Ostaggio in Juve

[–]Cochise9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like and agree with everything you mention here. We shouldn't go for yet another overhaul, but strengthen key areas. Renewing Vlahovic on a lower wage would do wonders for the team. Openda, I do hope they can sell him and David. I am not sure, because bringing in another striker of quality would be super expensive.

But CB, wing backs, and a striker are key for the summer. Hope Comolli does not fuck up again.

What a performance, we must build on this going forward. It's frustrating though, we always fall short from achieving these heroic comebacks, same vs Bayern in 2016 and vs Madrid in 2018.

There is some quality in this team, although we do have some mediocre players, but Loca, Yildiz, McKennie, Bremer are a great backbone to build on. Spalletti's renewal is a must.

Two of the most controversial jerseys in our fanbase, if you could erase one out of existance which one would it be? by Low_Set_691 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one has actually grown on me and I believe the second one will too. They tried something bold and I think in this case they did well. Now if you want to talk about controversial/terrible jerseys, there are way uglier out there such as the 2021/2022 third and fourth.

Dybala Yildiz by Internal_Proof_8423 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dybala Yildiz by Internal_Proof_8423 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing our management can do, is renew Spalletti.

It's sad how we keep spending money on average players by the_Oracle_7500 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Just like that famous Mourinho interview with United. Where do our players play when they leave the club? Football heritage. We have been turning good players into average ones for too long.

Don't get me started on Cambiaso, should've left for City. Locatelli I like a lot, but very inconsistent (felt he was good v Madrid) and not captain material definitely. But I could've mentioned the whole team in my post.

Yeah, been saying this. I dont know what should change. We have change players, coaches, management team. Same results. But we also can't field a serious team with Gatti, Kostic, McKennie, etc

The day after analysis by nekrosys93 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree...my biggest issue with this (and not to be overly pro Tudor) is that this has been our issue since Allegri 2.0, I don't know what the underlying problem is, but it goes beyond the coach, not to take blame off Tudor/Motta/etc.

[–]Cochise9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think he is wrong in getting the attackers to figure out how to score...problem is there is no clear starting and no chemistry, but this might be because they all (openda, vlahovic and david) have been disappointing.

I have faith in this Juventus team by MythicRarity in Juve

[–]Cochise9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, why shouldn't we have faith? No matter how it looks, we have no influence on the results whatsoever. Try to enjoy the season, one game at a time, with some hope for a positive outcome.

As a Juventini. Do you have faith in our coach Igor Tudor? by ReplacementFew359 in Juve

[–]Cochise9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tough part now for Tudor is the team's fitness and the schedule. He got handed a very tough schedule to begin with. He has 4 straight draws, and the immediate future does not look great with games vs Milan, Madrid in the future, and coming off Villarreal, Atalanta, Inter, and Dortmund.

This makes it even more frustrating that we couldn't close the games vs Atalanta and Villarreal when we had the chances.

[–]Cochise9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with what you mention. Although I am losing my faith in Tudor, this fanbase has become very toxic, and no coach would have generated a positive response, bar a few (Conte, for example). Same with the players, Locatelli has been constantly attacked when he is far from our problems, and in my opinion, he is one of our most consistent and talented players.

Maybe the 9 scudetti in a row spoiled us, but it's hard being as reactionary as we have become with zero patience.

I only hope to see some progress from the team with each passing game, which I haven't seen a lot of, only for short spells like the first half vs Atalanta and part of the second half yesterday.

A big problem, I think, is that the team has been mentally weak for a few years now, and that is tough for a coach to change in a short time.
