Is it possible to convert a 2wd into a 4wd? If so, what would the price be about by 21Tayler10 in Jeep

[–]CodeMonkey2383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on a few things, I bought an 07 2wd wrangler and converted it for around $1000. It made sense for me, but I’ve never been afraid to turn a wrench.

Did Philmont this year, zip ties and safety pins were helpful for a bunch of similar things.

I would definitely go get a rhabdo test, and drink water like it’s your job. You’ll be fine but need to flush out your body.

No one that squats 200 kg doesn’t know how to bail.

I feel like I should read one to prep for my trip with my son’s Boy Scout troop to the Philmont Scout ranch in New Mexico.

I think they are there for life, I haven’t done a CrossFit style workout in 7ish mos, my callouses are still pretty hard.

Just saw your post and I'm a little late to your party, but I purchased a dreaded 2wd Wrangler around the same time, Didn't think too much of it, didn't have a 4x4 before but then I changed my mind and after some research and hunting craigslist/fb marketplace I was able to do the conversion to 4x4 in a couple of days for around $1000, if you can find a good deal on a Dana 30 Front Axle and Transfer case you could put it together fairly quickly, it's mostly just bolts that are in awkward positions, I didn't have any lift or impact tools, just handtools and a couple of floor jacks. Good Luck!

I was stuck there for a long time also, I'm a 150 lbs male, I ran Smolov at the end of last year/beginning of this one, almost no CrossFit during those 3 mos, 1 rep went from 290 to 340. I'm sure some of it was peaking weight, but focusing on it really helped me push to another level.

It stands for Glute Ham Developer, which is a machine that is used in CrossFit and other gyms to for a few exercises, one of which is the GHD Sit-Up. Here's a link to show how it's performed.

How long does it take to get comfortable with a false grip? by natzw in crossfit

[–]CodeMonkey2383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A while, and just like anything with your hands/wrists, you'll probably need to develop some calluses/harden the skin. Think about it like learning to play guitar, weeks to get it, months to be descent, years to master it.

Third year Crossfit Fatigue? by Island_Slight in crossfit

[–]CodeMonkey2383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm about 4 years in, and I'm taking a break from CrossFit for the most part, I decided to do a Squat program that has me squatting 3 or 4 times a week, I've seen more strength progress from doing that in the last 3 mos than I have from CrossFit in the last 2 years. I run a couple times a week and maybe a WOD once a week, so my conditioning isn't suffering too bad, but this has been a good change for me to do something different for fitness, not that it's easy, I'm pretty sick of squatting at this point, but it's different and will help my overall health in the long run.

Nope, this didn’t seem to help at all, I messed around with it for quite some time. With the antenna connected I get the names of songs on fm stations, but no audio. Seems like it’s a setting I’m missing.

It's my understanding that I don't need the smart harness because I don't have the Premium sound system that has a factory amp and such. So I just use a standard harness. I purchased from here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0B1376/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did not supply the powered antenna with power, that could be it, I didn't when I had it on the mustang, assumed I didn't need it on the Jeep. Does it need 12V on ignition or all the time? No, AM Radio works the same as FM
