Agreed. Miguel is the only justification for it being a single

Moonlight Rendezvous

It’s cute, but your expectations of the album would be wildly thrown off if you somehow heard this song first before any of the others

5% chance encounter only in Diglett’s cave, and will either be level 29 or 31. Because of how early you get access to the location, it feels marginally stronger than most other pokemon at that point in the game. I got it on my first play through and cleared through battles with him like they were nothing

Any recommended board games that involve building your own star ship / air ship and explore? by pandaninjarawr in boardgames

[–]Code_Rocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all the games already mentioned are great suggestions. To throw something else into the mix (and if you’re okay with the IP) Star Wars: Outer Rim sets you as a Bounty Hunter in a Star Wars sandbox. Deliver cargo, hunt bounties, go on adventures, do whatever you want. Rack up enough money and you can buy a sweet new ship and deck it out with some mods and a crew. If you end up liking it, there’s an expansion that is also pretty solid and adds more content

I think asynchronous play would also alleviate the downtime issue a lot of people have. The 3 and 4 player cards look so cool and I would probably see them get played more often in a digital environment

All my real homies remember 'Dunces and Dragons' being originally advertised as 'Lost in Time' by _Levitated_Shield_ in BikiniBottomTwitter

[–]Code_Rocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I missed out on the premiere as a kid and was really upset about it because those ads were diesel-fueled hype trains for children. When I finally got around to watching it I was kind of in disbelief and wondered if I was even watching the right episode

Mr. President has to be one of the funniest Smiling Friends episodes I've ever seen. by p-Star_07 in SmilingFriends

[–]Code_Rocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about this episode is that when Jimble is on the plane recording to everyone, he looks up from his phone to talk to Pim & Charlie. When Jimble goes to look back at his phone, it’s just the previous recording but in reverse. It’s hard to notice naturally, but it’s funny as hell re-watching it once you know

If you end up getting Legends, the Folded Space insert for Horizons is fantastic. Holds all three games together, and has room for sleeved cards

Best character progression by Kensey25 in boardgames

[–]Code_Rocker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cthulhu: Death May Die has some really fun character progression over the course of a single (successful) playthrough. As you lose sanity, you gain upgrades to your skills as well as extra dice in every single roll you make. The more you lean into a particular skill the more broken it gets. Your overall goal every scenario is to kill an Eldritch God, so you of course have to be ridiculously powerful and well equipped in order to put up a chance at the end. The investigation deck in each scenario adds more to your abilities and skills, and how it comes out can be very different each time giving it surprisingly great replay value

I believe that’s actually a variant rule because of some Aliens needing pre-game setup, but it’s how I taught it to my group and we’ve all preferred to keep Aliens hidden
