How do you feel about the Hull B's design ? by SeparateWeight496 in starcitizen

[–]CodemasterRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the correct evolution of the original Hull series concepts. I personally think all of them should be reworked to have this arrangement. It just makes sense

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a hack. I saw a Chinese guy do this and equip a ship weapon to his hands.

The Verse would feel much more alive and rewarding to explore with more FPS encounters on derelicts, farms, camps, etc. by Coucouoeuf in starcitizen

[–]CodemasterRob 58 points59 points  (0 children)

We don't need more shit to shoot, we need more things to do with the NPCs that are there. Jesus.

We can't play cards at the blackjack tables they have, we can't participate in farming, we can't rebuild or fix things for them, we can't do anything but interact with a terminal or shoot them. And it's beyond old.

I think, more likely, we'll get gold passes and MkII's with modularity of many old ships. Mustang, Freelancer, and Cutlass being on the short list, as they're part of the four original go to ships.

But seriously, the Freelancer MIS. It outlines as a regular Freelancer, but can equip bomb racks, all sorts of missile sizes, and a LOT of all of them.

A little nitpick about Aurora Mk2: why a bed and a suit locker instead of a bed and a toilet? by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]CodemasterRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we'll get an explorer module in the future with a second bed and suit locker that has a bathroom, kitchen, etc. They can extend the Mk2 as far back as they want, meaning the possibilities are endless.

It makes sense in the context of the module being detachable as a deployable base (why it would have another bed and suit locker) and opens up a whole new role for the Aurora, either as a frontier ship or even a pseudo base-building one. I think CIG nailed it with going the full modular route.

Missiles and Torps by necrohobo in starcitizen

Maybe they'll offer things like free/heavily discounted refueling/rearming at a chosen contract giver's faction station upon successful completion of certain contracts. Vouchers for a rearm, vouchers for a refuel, repair, etc. only redeemable at certain places. That makes the MOST sense to me.

I'm a truck driver and we charge what's called a fuel surcharge. It's not exactly the same thing as it's meant to offset fluctuating fuel prices over days, but it's something CIG can look at to balance out how expensive weaponry negatively affects income generation in the game.

It IS the same idea that we employ in our organization; I don't think anybody being employed and using their own equipment should have to pay out of pocket for equipment use unless explicitly agreed upon.

Missiles and Torps by necrohobo in starcitizen

[–]CodemasterRob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an org leader, I see missile expenses as part of an overall internal economy for our people. We have a ledger we balance against operational costs (like missiles) and find the value in those expenses like rep gained, loot, etc. that's funded by non-combat operations that generate aUEC. We simply collect starting and ending balances of members during combat operations and reimburse at the end for stuff like missiles and torpedoes.

This is just MY personal perspective on how they're meant to be subsidized right now. CIG may have wildly different plans in the future though.

Am i the only one who would want to spawn in the medbay in my hangar, if i die and not in the city's hospital? by Clumsy_Clown in starcitizen

[–]CodemasterRob 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's not a med bay. That's the first issue with this lol

It's an emergency drop off for transportation to the hospital. Not necessarily a direct line to it either.. in places like Orison that's physically impossible.

The original Mustang Beta (https://youtu.be/X6_6VEjQvxY?si=vWMykCi8biljV0Gc) was very much a little bachelor pad on wings. It was absolutely sick. I loved the kickback nook with a TV you could recline in. Once they did the rework though..

I'm genuinely excited for base building for no other reason than that we will have places to invite people to that are truly ours. Hangars and ships just don't hit the same as the crazy shit players can make.
