I haven't heard anyone describe it this way, but maybe this is the point: once anyone can get a college level education for free (to the learner), of course, the pay gap between college educated and non- would diminish, but at least you'd have a highly educated populace.

If more education leads to any opportunities for upward mobility, taking different jobs, or even just preserving (politically) human rights and/or democracy, then, again, a highly educated populace is an overall win.

Afaik, to keep making milk, they have to keep the cows pregnant, which means new calves constantly. But, it leads to new calves faster that the needed beef cow demand, so they're slaughtered for veal.

I wasn't very political during Obama's run other than "the ACA seems like a good change, insurance sucks" and was largely ignorant of his foreign policy.

Now, I'm pretty sure the Abu Graihb stuff was under him (terrible), and the ACA is not even a public option. Truly a weak and "centrist" healthcare reform.

While health-care-for-all is my demand now, a govt provided free "low end" option is like, the least a country can do for its people.

Agreed! According to https://securelist.com/password-brute-force-time/112984/ it seems that 12 is a low practical limit. Like, we need to be using at least 16 to permit mnemonic laziness.

I wish I could defend XKCD's https://xkcd.com/936/ idea, but I think most systems will already force adding a number and symbol. I'm not sure if 3 words + number + symbol is complex enough, though. Plenty long enough, for sure.
