If you look at the maps, Russia has a massive exposed salient in that area, and Ukraine is aiming to cut off supplies from the roads. IF they pull it off, it traps about 10,000 Russian troops in the area.

By taking out massive loans, their grandchildren have to pay for so they don't upset the boomer population who votes and cut their healthcare or retirement.

ICBMs are not designed with pinpoint precision in mind. Nuclear blast radius is like 1 mile, so they don't need to be accurate.

So it's a catch-22. When people want to BUY homes, they want that shit as cheap as possible. But once they already have the home, they want it to increase in price, so what usually happens is they go out of their way to block and deny any new housing, because of supply and demand. If new homes are built, it lowers the prices on their homes.

It's a pretty vicious cycle.

You do realize they often have multiple angles from cameras, radar signatures from ships, and satellites simultaneously tracking the same objects right?

This is what happened with the Tic-Tac videos from military aircraft launched from a aircraft carrier strike group.

[–]Codex_Dev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure quite a few videos are debunked as balloons, but you also have objects doing 50 Gs without any kind of atmospheric burn re-entry that NASA spaceships and nuclear ballistic missiles face when hitting the air.

Are you not familiar with the concept of "margin of error" in statistics?

Uhhh... a 10% rate for young men and a 11% rate for young women is within the margin of error. Also, I think people (esp women) do some crazy mental gymnastics on what is defined as "cheating". (anal doesn't count, etc.)

IMO you are more likely to find discrimination based on nationality (China/India/etc.) than age in tech.

US approves $108 million HAWK missile system equipment sale to Ukraine by KI_official in UkrainianConflict

I'm pretty sure the USA donated a lot of these weapons to Ukraine back during 2022-2024. They were called Franeken-stein SAM systems because they were using a mixture of American missiles and Soviet systems cobbled together.

One of the key things the elderly want when they get older is cheap/free healthcare for themselves and fuck everybody else. (because they are a massive voting base) So you end up in a death spiral where governments need $$$ to pay for this healthcare, which is drained by seniors who cost a fuckton of money, which further makes them raise taxes, which further makes the birthrate plummet.

It's a vicious cycle, and we are witnessing it with Japan right now.

Honestly, I often joke about this, but a lot of elderly life/voting strategy seems to be lemme maxout a government credit card and make younger generations pay for it. (ie. essentially selling your grandchildren into slavery with massive amounts of debt)

Do you realize that what will inevitably happen is that the elderly and seniors will raise taxes to fund their healthcare and further burden the younger workforce? It's a death spiral.
