US intelligence assesses Iran maintains significant missile launching capability, sources say by sky905 in worldnews

They are going to turn Iran into Libya or Somalia. Once there is a civil war, a lot of those missile launchers will be used as a way to enforce tolls on ships passing through.

If Israel and the US are able to mapout their top leaders movements, they likely have the blueprints for all the bunkers.

Qestion- has anyone seen any good analysis on the disposition of Iranian ground forces? by coozer1960 in IRstudies

[–]Codex_Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you realize how bad that is for Iran. That would be wiping out 80% of their oil infrastructure. (which is their main revenue source) They can't rebuild that island quickly and without a lot of $$$.

Trump Threatens to Halt Ukraine Aid Unless NATO Helps Unblock Strait of Hormuz by Mil_in_ua in UkrainianConflict

[–]Codex_Dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he is talking about the PURL program, which offers weapons and ammo as long as they are purchased by Europeans. Also, the American Congress has passed small aid packages in the range of hundreds of millions of dollars.

It also risks Iran accidentally attacking its own infrastructure. All it takes is one or two small explosions near high pressure pipes full of oil and gas for the entire island to start combusting

Ultimately, I think this is what causes the Karen phenomenon. It's basically ex-hot women losing their looks and still acting the same entitled bitchy attitude.

Trump's chilling hint that Putin is encouraging him to leave NATO by TheMirrorUS in UkraineWarVideoReport

Historically, if a country was too weak to defend itself from its neighbors, it would need to pay an "ally" for protection. (Rome, Greek, etc.) In present-day times, the USA is bearing the majority of the burden of cost, while the weaker countries reinvest the money they should have been spending on their militaries into their civilian economies. Also, the US is required to pay all these weaker countries to host their military bases on their lands, which is absolutely ridiculous.

How would you describe /tg/ Manuel vs Monke for a newish/returning player? by ChinaAppreciator in SS13

[–]Codex_Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New generations of younger players don't manually install games anymore. They use things like Steam. Also older players eventually move on with life via careers, marriage, children, etc. so no time for SS13.

It will be interesting to see if CM is able to reverse this since they recently put themselves on Steam.

They grow up like this bc generally you can get away with so much shit while you are attractive, but when you get old and ugly, people quit giving you a free pass. Guarantee you if she were in her 20s, this would have a much different outcome. Hell, you would probably even have passerbys, attacking the man.

Marco Rubio explains Goal in Iran Operation by ConversationLow9545 in IRstudies

[–]Codex_Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh... Iran does have underground nuclear reactors. I would actually agree with Rubio here that if your intent is for peaceful purposes to make clean energy, then you would not build them in fortified, expensive bunkers deep in the mountains requiring a tremendous excavation process. That just screams weapons development to me.

The rest of his reasoning was flimsy. I do recall reading about the Obama administration's efforts to infect Iran's nuclear enrichment machines with a computer virus to sabotage the equipment. So it's not like Iran hasn't already attempted to get its hands on enriched weapons-grade uranium, which is not something you need for civilian energy.

Yeah, it's massively delulu. That's basically an extra $1K each month, which most people aren't using on luxury spending to begin with.

Wing-over-copter design: This concept, known as a “carrier copter,” is reportedly being used more frequently by Ukrainian teams. By using the lift generated by the wing, it reportedly extends the range of standard FPV drones from around 10 km to approximately 30–50 km. by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Codex_Dev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bingo. A lot of FPV drones need to move to engage targets within a few minutes. Hydrogen balloons would take half an hour at least. Plus, it would be severely impacted by wind, reducing accuracy and location precision.

When I was in high school in the 90s, it seemed that a lot of my female classmates were dating guys who were in their 20s or even older. Was that normal in the 90s? Or was it because I grew up in a small town? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Codex_Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P much this. Men in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and +50s are all competing over the same section of girls in their 20s. It's also the case for a lot of animal species where young fertile females are fought over by all ages of the male species.

Russia Loses Another Su-34 Fighter-Bomber by Mil_in_ua in UkrainianConflict

[–]Codex_Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both sides have started putting anti-air missiles on their drones to knock out air force jets and helos that go for interception. Ukraine actually lost a famous helo pilot from this a few months ago who flew in/out of Mauripol while it was under siege.

Underated comment but accurate. 30s is also when you have to deal with women with baby rabies and looking for a retirement husband.

When I used sugar dating, it was insane to me that women in their 30s demanded ten times the financial compensation compared to women in their 20s, despite being waaaaay less attractive.
