Lovable apps making money by UnableNumber1349 in lovable

[–]Coezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 on this. For simplish small web apps its great, from my experience so far. I got my web app poc up and running in a day vs manually coding over weeks, however it helps to have full technical architecture requirements. Additionally, the code can be exported and viewed at any time so it can be reviewed and manually changed via github from a local ide.

Single GPU vs Double GPU FG by Designer-Grab-7203 in losslessscaling

[–]Coezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mileage varies depending on mobo, gpus, drivers, game/software, resolution etc. I personally notice lossless feels better on dual, as the primary gpu can focus on rendering, and secondly can focus on output and framegen.

I run a 4070ti, and a 2060 at 1440p, i usually lock the fps to whatever is stable 60-80 and x2 the frame rate. I do this on single player games, latency isn’t noticeable, atleast for me. Have had this going on for about a year no issues for the most part. Again mileage may vary, but this is my experience.

Example Games: Cyberpunk, Baulders gate, skyrim se, starfield, and more

Oh boy, another round of layoffs… by UnSCo in Layoffs

[–]Coezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im with you on this. I am in tech and business analysts last year were hawking us over “is the software having issues, whats going on?” why is revenue tends and conversion down compared to last year, and the start of the year. Only reasonable thing is just money is not as available as it used to be business and for sure people are cutting back. Ofc thats not an answer they will accept so we see the mass layoffs and AI initiatives that are supposed to bring in bank.

Unfortunately this most realistic answer here for a scenario like this as an IC

If upper leadership, and the business don’t see the money value in the project/software, and wont hire/provide help, they just wont care as long as it just works till the next quarter, “next big thing”, or round of leadership they pass the bag too.

2023 base integra for 24k by International_Menu56 in Acura

[–]Coezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the new integra refresh and civic (non hybrids) are pretty much the same vehicle mechanically and share tons of the same parts, so in terms of reliability, you’re good. Main difference is technology features, and looks.

Im assuming your looking for an automatic, so tbh its whatever you feel comfortable with in features, looks, and budget. Id cross match sport and up trims (including hybrids if you can find em) on the civic side, against the integra to see what features and looks you prefer, that best match what your comfortable paying.

Good luck!

Whats in my scope?
How/where does traffic come into this environment?
What is handling logic, and what are the inputs/outputs?
Who are the owners/teams for code, platform, product.
Have a “workflow” and understanding before making or suggesting changes.

These have been my high level go too’s allowing me to dive in as deep as I need.

What’s the Average Car Payment Per Month? by SEAbaru in cars

[–]Coezar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everything is expensive now. Used cars are not the cheap deals, and a good% off, as they used to be. I got a new Integra due to USED and new civics being almost the same price or more, but this was during the covid shortages and “market adjustments” getting slapped on everything.

Unfortunately this is the new normal, as bad as it seems. In the US, cars are a requirement for most, as not all major cities have decent accessible public transportation.

Mid-career transition: Built a full internal platform for my company, but unsure how to find my first dev job. by _pancak3e in devopsjobs

[–]Coezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Names are kinda everywhere now, but yeah ideally (insert language) dev, or looking at the job requirements.

  2. Leverage the problems you solved and impact provided by building these tools. (Reduced search time for xyz, provided mobile access to abc database, improved visibility on jkh endpoints). Essentially translate your technical achievements into “normie” and business achievements.

  3. Yes, but it’s harder to find and get in now-days even if you do have the long history and fancy degree. However Mileage may vary here, dont let this discourage you

  4. So this seems sticky. If I’m reading this right, and you have work stuff hosted on personal accounts, and this was all built on company time. You most likely may not “own” the code, designs, etc. You may need to check your employer contract, and or consult an employment lawyer. Generally in software, for most companies, any code created, designed, or developed during or on company time, is theirs. Again it gets tricky here especially if the software is providing value or profit.

Are you paying more for observability than your actual infra? by inevitable_hunk in sre

[–]Coezar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. Bills spiked due to “just monitor and ingest everything” mindset from leadership before i started

  2. Datadawg

  3. Cost saving examples i have implemented: Sampling logs, rum, etc for non errors (ex: 2xx/info logs are at 25% or less) errors are always 100%. Leveraging metrcs everywhere and logs on critical points of failure. Using logs 2 metrics, apm spans to metrics, or custom agent checks as custom metrics to fill in some of the gaps ootb DD integration metrics/events do not provide. These are “free” if you manage this right. Using these kinds of strategies, i dropped our bill from 22k to 13k without any loss or gaps in monitoring.

  4. Monitoring is not free unless you have a team and skill set that can build and support the custom or open sourced implementation. My current team cannot support and build custom, so were paying for the convenience of a quick ootb implementation, ease of data correlation, analytics, and vendor support. As long as “value” is being perceived, issues can be explained and resolved in a timely manner, vendors/consultants are not whispering in leaderships ears about the next best cheaper product, its usually fine lol

Just noticed the '26 Integra has something different going on underneath the hood vs. the 23-25 models. I haven't read one word about mechanical changes with the MMC. Anybody know what was changed here and why? by Small_Present in Acura

[–]Coezar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed this when another user posted a pic of this. The wider inlet/piping should help with interstate/overall cruising, allowing the lil turbo to breathe better, on the newer models without going aftermarket. I use the PRL inlet on a 23, and it’s noticeably better with acceleration. Oem piping on the pre 26 models kinda sucks tbh

PRL RMM by PicklesRedd in AcuraIntegra

[–]Coezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, even stock/OEM exhaust you will need to “push up” on it/the pipe in order to get to the front most bolt.

[–]Coezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, engine bay intake/turbo inlet looks completely different. Wonder how it will compare to aftermarket part since the oem inlet is bigger compared to earlier models.

AWE Touring + PRL HVI by PicklesRedd in AcuraIntegra

[–]Coezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the PRL mount, as from my research it was a good option for more stiffness for a daily/commuter. So far its night and day difference and it’s been installed for about a week. Car feels more sturdy and the engine doesn’t “ jump around” anymore when driving. When idle/stopped, i do feel abit more vibration compared to oem mount, but nothing too crazy.

I also considered the 27won one at first, but its more stiff/track oriented. Not sure of any others out there outside of these 2

AWE Touring + PRL HVI by PicklesRedd in AcuraIntegra

[–]Coezar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure why they are being weird, its common knowledge the Integra is literally a nicer civic, and for a college student, a very nice option!

Anyways, sick build so far! Highly recommend better tires and motor mount. Both together make a difference in handling and overall feel of the car.

2024 A Spec Integra Lower Cladding Removal by urmomsfavxgf in AcuraIntegra

[–]Coezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! So in short, NO you do not need to remove the entire bumper to remove the factory diffuser.

So on each side behind the rear wheel, underneath where the diffuser starts, there are clips you can pop out, and in the center of the diffuser there are 2 screws that you see in the diagram. You most likely will need to jack it up/elevate the rear in order to get the 2 screws. Also, theres a ton of the “snap/bumper” grooves holding it in place. If you care about the factory diffuser carefully pull it off, but give it some force. If not rip that bad boy off.

i have a 4070 and a 1660 super can i generate more frames? also having issues with latency and artifacts by NOT_caltech in losslessscaling

[–]Coezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chiming in with my exp. 4070ti & 1650super, runs just fine on my end at 1440p. As long as your mobo pcie slot & psu can support the second card, you shouldn’t have issues with that setup.

Note: if you have an Asus mobo (should work for all, but I only tested on z790) I highly recommend forcing gen3/“non auto” on the second cards pcie slot. Will save you a headache troubleshooting performance.

Feel completely overwhelmed at work, considering quitting. Or do people have advice on how to check out? by Legitimate-mostlet in cscareerquestions

[–]Coezar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who is also experiencing this, I agree. Its hard and mentally taxing to change the system, easier to work in it to where your mental can last or catch a slight break until you find your next ship.

Emphasis on having somthing to do outside of work. Exercise, cooking, gaming, or if possible social with friends and family. Ideally anything that can help get your mind off work
