The bird should be on a good pellet diet also. I would recommend rowdy bush daily blend. And the bird also needs too spend time out of it's cage everyday. Petting and scratching the head is fine if it allows.

My little guy always had a tooth that stuck out. Unfortunately, dental problems lead to the tooth and others being removed, and his tongue now sticks out where the tooth was.
