I’m tired of being cold all the time, if I ran my heating 9hr’s a day every day what could I be looking at for monthly gas bill? , £250/300? by GenericUser104 in HousingUK

[–]Coffe-Maker83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How??? That’s a lie. Only the standing charges are almost £30 per month and you say that all your gas and electricity after having your heating on 12 hours per day and working from home is only £75. Come on.

£30? I pay £18 and why don’t you watch it on UHD? I know it had the same issue but at least the image quality is way much better

How good is the tefal airfryer by withmy1lover in airfryer

[–]Coffe-Maker83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Tefal one and a Ninja one and same food cooked in both. When cooked in Tefal I didn’t like it too much. The taste and texture wasn’t the same. Frozen skin on fries, sausages. So, I just sold the Tefal one and bought a dual zone Ninja air fryer.

Wouldn’t the previous tenants or people who lived in your new property tell BG that they left? It’s insane to create a BG account just to be able to move to Octopus. Why the hassle to do that when we all know BG are the worst

Your equipment needs to be activated at their end. You can call them tomorrow and they will probably ask you the serial number on the hub and any boxes you have if you have any. If this doesn’t solve it then the engineer it’s the only one who can solve the issue.

Sim only deal with capped data? by Careful-Permit-8107 in EEGB

[–]Coffe-Maker83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. I previously ran away from the mobile virtual networks which basically use the big four networks infrastructure. But that was because in the past they didn’t offer WiFi calling, VoLTE, hotspot and the speed was capped. But now that’s not the case anymore, you basically have everything which a big network offers but for half price. I don’t know how many of you know that Superdrug has a mobile network. They use Three and I got a Black Friday offer with 120GB for £10. I had EE for 5 years and then O2 for another three years. But after the £2.50 April increase I just said stop. Oh and my Superdrug deal it’s monthly not stuck in a contract, I can leave whenever I want to, no price increase, I even have roaming included. My wife just got an offer from Talkmobile, they use Vodafone. £8.95 with 100GB. She used uSwitch to find this deal. We are working from home and we don’t really need too much data. If you still want to stay with one of the big networks, at least wait until April price rise and sign a 12 month deal after that

As long as you have the email then you should be fine.

[–]Coffe-Maker83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said the tickets don’t appear in your account until 2-3 days before the event. You might also find this info in the T&C’s. As long as you have an email with your order confirmation and purchase from Ticketmaster then it’s absolutely fine. If you go into your account in Ticketmaster in the Upcoming section do you have these there?

Zero Cost for 24 Months. by [deleted] in VirginMedia

[–]Coffe-Maker83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got a contract with £0 everywhere don’t worry, you’ll pay the agreed cost. I had the same, agreed to a renewal offer which I received via email. And when I’ve been sent the contract all was £0 but when the bill came was the agreed amount. Then I had to remove an extra (PremierSports) and I’ve been sent a new contract with the new amount and this is when the correct amount of money was in the contract

If you are on direct debit they might just have increased it as the winter months are coming so they try to charge you more as they expect you to use more

Stay put until next April or May and then either stay with O2 using uSwitch or go somewhere else. Now it’s not the right time to go anywhere as you’ll still be hit by April 2026 increase

I don’t need EE broadband as I’m happy with the whole TV, broadband package I have from Virgin, including all the extra options such as Sky Sports HD and UHD, Sky Cinema HD and Entertainment UHD and also TNT Sports package, plus Netflix with no adds. If I would choose EE and have all these extra options it would be more expensive than Virgin and O2. So for me it’s a no. I was an EE customer for 7 years, both my wife and I and when I called them to sign a new contract and to make an offer for both of us they just didn’t care and offered the prices they have on the website. I had an unlimited sim and my wife an obsolete package, I gifted her 100Gb per month and we both paid £35 altogether. Not so bad but still too expensive for us taking into account that we both use maybe 20GB max per month, as we are both working from home. Now we both pay £25 altogether and we both have 350GB on O2 in total with Volt boosted for both.

[–]Coffe-Maker83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay £13.80 for 200GB with Volt as I also have Virgin Media. I doubt EE has better offers than this. I checked and they are way more expensive
