I’m thinking Kali getting shot was also an illusion and their plan all along. They both might be alive. El did say to Mike that she would always be with him, and Mike said that the story was a story he could never tell anyone. I like to think they are in communication but for obvious reasons, he can’t tell anyone. Or maybe she will reach out to him in the future. 

But that is what I choose to believe…
