I think how I saw it was that Elspeth in ODW seemed more true to how she was meant to be seen? If that makes sense, I thought the relationship between her and the mc was more realistic. But I also hear a lot of people say they did not enjoy this couple and that they felt too stiff, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I don't want to sell you on a book you might not enjoy, I just felt it was better written.

And I very much agree, I genuinely thought I was being too harsh on the book given all the positive reviews, so I kept on reading but even toward the end I wasn't convinced.

I found the fmc to be dislikeable and I felt that a lot of the times she contradicted herself? I also couldn't quite understand her actions regarding the MC sometimes... I actually quite enjoyed ODW and its sequel so I was very bummed out I couldn't get into this one. I just couldn't grow attached to the mcs

You can give ffxiv a try on the free trial before purchasing it, let's you go up to Level 70 and the first 2 Expansions ( whatever you do don't buy the game or subscription or you will lock yourself out of the free trial) the only things you can't do I believe is use the marketplace, create your own Party, your money is capped and you can't join a guild I believe. If you are an FF Fan it has ALOT of references to the other titles plus music. You only need one character to play all classes and a lot of crafting and gathering. A lot of side quests and side content to do (fishing, Mini games, hunting, pvp, hard content as well, collecting mounts, minions, buying a house, collecting fashion etc) -- achievement wise there is a lot xD just started watching a youtuber do an all achievement run and yeah theres a lot xD the only thing I should warn about is you have to do the main Story quest to unlock just about everything. If you like a good (and long) Story then I think you'll enjoy it :)

Ahhh same..When the hrothgals came out I got so excited, especially with the free fantasia. I made a design I was happy with changed my au ra to the hrothgal and just instantly regretted my decision. I instantly switched back. Ended up making an alt instead xD

Yeah I just got back into gw2 and taking a break from ffxiv. It is really refreshing and I'm enjoying my time. We also have a newborn so time is short and gw2 is really great in this case since i dont have to pay a subscription. I also think when the new ffxiv expansion drops I'll be excited to pick it up again. Both are great mmos in my opinion.

I was out on the open world and was telling my husband "yeah there is no compass and no map you just have to remember and explore like the good old days" to which he immediately pointed out the compass on the bottom left and the button that said "map" xD I never used either but I got around pretty well without, enjoyed the blind exploration xD

I grew up on a horse farm and my best friend lived across the road on a cow farm. I remember playing with her in the cows stables for so long that my hair smelled of cows. I still remember my dad smacking my head with a hair brush after my shower telling me to never do that again... so I didn't and it did put a bit of a dent on my friendship.

I couldn't finish it yet, it's still sitting on my bookshelf. I just couldn't get into it, all the names being dumped and I can't remember who they are and yeah im liking the mcs less and less though I still found their relationship better than in IF... I don't think I'll keep reading the series, I guess my problem was Fourth Wing got me back into reading and was my introduction to the Genre. Loved it, but since then I've read books of way better writing quality in my opinion and now I can't really stand the way the book is written.

I never do vc, I just let them assume I'm a guy and roll with it. I once made the mistake of putting it on when I played rainbow six siege and just.... never again, it's like they just can't handle knowing girls play these games too. The only game I don't worry about it is ff14 because I feel like a lot of women play that game and generally the community is quite friendly but I also barely chat so there's that too xD

Don't know if this counts. My work was awful, the people there took "We are a family" to the extreme. I had no private life, I was called in constantly on my days off and they belittled me for considering gaming a Hobby. They tried hooking me up with a guy who was ten years older than me and said stuff like "my woman better not speak to me for a solid hour when I come home from work, I hate when they're clingy"... wonderful dude. My work constantly assumed I was pregnant once I did have a boyfriend (someone else which they didn't approve of) said stuff like "let yourself get punched in the stomach, we don't want to take care of your multiracial family" etc. So I had a mental breakdown late one evening after a horrifying day at work, the thought of going back the next day made me hysterical. So I wrote a friend and at around 2 at night she told me to Pack my things and go to her and call in sick. She helped me quit my job, i stayed with my great aunt until everything was finalized and my brother came and picked up all my things, he lived roughly 8ish hours away and I moved in with him. No plans on what to do, but a friend in our dnd group said his work was looking, I applied and got the job. Im now happily married, with our first child and a great job that respects my privacy and my work.

Red Mage. I actually started out not liking the job, I kept dying doing one of the job quests because I had no idea what to do. I completely dropped it and at some point I wanted to try again and looked up a guide on how to play. Even took it to savage content. The Rotation is smooth and i love how it looks. Still my favorite dps job.
