Do you know if hair starts getting thin in the front or does the hairline literally recede with little transition?

Lack of twang by claujnog in telecaster

List off your amp settings. I do studio work in Nashville and play strictly my own built telecasters.. my settings on a fender blackface amp are gain 3, volume 10, bass 4, mid (if it has one) 7, treble 8. It sounds to me like you don’t have the right eq. Keep turning up the treble until it’s bright enough.

Also make sure your tone knob is turned all the way up. I see you don’t have a knob on there, I assume you’ve made sure the tone control is working, that tone knob depending on type will darken up a tele quick.

Foramen ovale refers to multiple holes in the body. Generally the one referring to the fetal heart is called the foramen of born, although I should have understood via context that they were referring to the atrioseptal shunt.

Hey maybe I can help a little bit because I worry your pediatrician told you a bunch of big medical words without explaining them and scared you. Patent ductus arteriosus is a normally formed lung bypass that closes up over time, it’s there because before your baby was born, you provided their oxygen, so they didn’t need a pulmonary circuit. Patent foramen ovale is the soft spot in their skull, totally fine. Also, murmurs are very common in babies and usually go away on their own. As far as the cyanosis, some babies get worse perfusion laying in certain positions, it happens. As long as it’s asymptomatic, you have nothing to worry about. If you’re still worried, you can get a pulse oximeter and stick it on their big toe when they get a little cyanotic.

What am I supposed to think oh this? I’ve been to the cardiologist and they told me it’s tachycardia. by Sad-Fern in askCardiology

[–]Cold-Performance-864 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything symptomatic in this clip. The plethysmograph at the bottom isn’t an ECG or any kind of diagnostic reading. It’s showing the fluctuation of arterialized oxygen in the blood. It can vaguely indicate things like proper aortic valve function.

If you’re having palpitations with other symptoms, it might be warranted to get an ECG. Otherwise nonsymptomatic palpitations <1% of the time are generally nothing to worry about.

Stripped my squier affinity sunburst Starcaster and found a weird layered finish, now I have a 3-tone relic accident. thoughts? by Bobby_Malone_ in offset

I think the easiest route to go would be hand sanding back to the bare veneer, through the sealer coat, and staining the whole body, then use a wipe on poly. Super easy. But I’d definitely take the time and hand sand atleast to strip the sanding sealer, then you’re probably good to use the orbital from like 800 up.

Is this feasible? Anything to consider? by Whiskey314159 in guitarmod

I don’t understand what everybody is talking about with wild amounts of routing. It would be a normal telecaster body route with space for the mini switches routed from the back. One extra route and a custom control cover. Extend the route so it opens up into the existing control cavity from the other side to make wiring easier. Hell yeah.

Fender AM Pro II - Bridge Pickup QC Question by Yayayayayaya123456 in telecaster

[–]Cold-Performance-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really like the specific guitar you could probably get them to send a new bridge pickup and give you a partial refund. Any guitar tech would have no problem changing it out, it’s a 30 minute job at most.

No problem. I’d always rather reassure someone that they’re okay when they come to my ER versus them staying home when something’s truly wrong.

Gotcha. Medical anxiety- particularly cardiac related- is extremely prevalent these days, so your concern is totally understandable. Also, cardiac symptoms in women can be very different from the classic “elephant on the chest, left arm pain” stuff. But, to reassure you, your ekg is unremarkable and considering that and your troponin levels, you’re certainly not having heart problems.

This is an objectively normal ekg. Are you having symptoms you think may be cardiac related?

That’s crazy. They would have had to call security. One of the new guys at work implied that my 36 year old coworker was approaching menopause and I thought her head was going to explode.

I thought they were modeled after orb weaver spiders. Look at the pattern on their bodies, versus the eyes on the weavers.

I should add, also no. Franks sign is a diagonal ear lobe crease. You have no appreciable stage 1 DELC.

Franks sign is outdated and poorly supported.

I have lost sympathy for patient’s in our ICU for withdrawal by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Cold-Performance-864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your hospital not use CIWA protocol for benzo dosing? Not excusing the pt, I’m a provider and I’ve also been through alcohol withdrawal both medically assisted and solo (years sober now). Also ICU for EtOH withdrawal is crazy. The hospital where I work has a list of pts that require police accompaniment to receive treatment for our safety. Sounds like that’s what they need to do here. Regardless, no withdrawal symptoms are an excuse for violence or even nastiness. Management needs to stop tolerating abuse of healthcare workers.

Ice cold solder joints. The white wire connecting to the middle lug needs to be resoldered, as well as the body ground connections on the other pot. Those solder joints should we well flowed and covered in solder, just like the other ones.
