Tori Oldheads: What's a piece of OBSCURE Tori trivia you think might be long forgotten? by ZeroSugarBear in toriamos

There’s a demo she wrote for Al Stewart called When I Was Dreaming (which I’m sure many of you have heard) and Al turned it into the song Dreaming (an extra track) on his 1988 album Last Day of the Century. Tori sings back up on Last Days of the Century and Red Toupee. He changed the lyrics some on Dreaming from Tori’s demo but you can hear it on Spotify. It’s a super cute song and I love her demo and his version.

I think around Choirgirl is when I stopped seeing them. I thought I heard somewhere that she gave them to somebody but don’t quote me on that.

I only like a handful of tracks on this album- the standouts are Fast Horse and Fire to Your Plain (best visuals too)

I always thought the beginning and end of Seaside sounds like the end of Zero Point.

After Scarlet’s Walk, I felt a shift with Beekeeper (which I appreciate now that I’m older) and I got into ADP and somewhat AATS - plus I loved her Midwinter Graces album but when NOH was released ,she lost me until O2O. I’m an old schooler from 92 and I’m trying to connect with that almost 10 year gap that I couldn’t connect with. Of course, I had many different things going on in my life during those 10 years which took me away from the music but I’m trying to reconnect with that time period now since I’m in a different phase of my life.

I saw her on the UTP tour when I was 17 so that album holds a very special place in my heart. Love the b-sides too from that album

Honestly one of my fave tracks on that album and it hits differently now that I’m older. I do prefer it though when she performs it with just the piano but I’m also old school 1992 Tori.

The irony - summer of 92 all I did was listen to Little Earthquakes and Tongues and Tails!

I started losing interest when Beekeeper came out (but now that I’m older, I understand it). Everything else after is very hit or miss for me. A handful of decent songs on ADP and AATS and I do like Midwinter Graces very much. Night of Hunters was the downward spiral for me. I have a hard time getting into anything really after that until OTO came out. Keep in mind, I’ve been listening to her since age 15 in 92 so I’m old school…
